Paradise

Ace French house - I bought this just for gym-tonic which is a great tune and a cost effective way of getting it on vinyl. But it's a nice 2 piece vinyl album and you can use it to mix together both vinyl records to create a nice, naughty sun-soaked French house vibe into your mix for a few tunes!

I first heard this album driving down from Paris to Barcelona in one of three camper vans going to celebrate the new millenium. The driver and myself were so fascinated and enthralled by the tunes that we were totally oblivious of the "worst storms to hit France for 40 years". There was panic and chaos all around us but the music was just too great to worry about anything else.I spent misguided years at Uni trying to convince everyone that this was the best album ever and even though a few years have passed since then I truly believe it is.It's light-hearted but very slick and there is a great deal of cohesion between the songs but they also are very individual. I feel that the 1st half of the album is better and after the interlude it doesn't have the same quirkiness but is still fantastic. Saying that the last song gym n' tonic always brings a smile to my face thinking about aerobic classes.I believe that this album should belong in everyone's collection.

I know you probably heard "Gym Tonic" one too many times but still, this album is awesome. Best tracks are "My only love", "Disco 2000 selector" that is also featured on the Respect is Burning cd (get it if you still don't have it) and "New York City Music". Let's hope the new album come soon, the new track called "I feel for you" is pretty good.

I first heard this recording early in the morning at my friend apartment after all night dancing. It sounded perfect with silent TV screen on. Grovacious (.)(.) I bought it.
