Nikita: The Complete Series [DVD] [2014]

Bought as a gift, a good series and a good buy.

I bought it as I used to enjoy La Femme Nikita. I'd never seen a single episode of this before buying the boxset. I was addicted to Nikita from the first episode and believe me when I say I watched the whole 4 series of this entertaining TV show in a couple of weeks (as well as still going to work full-time and having a social life). If you're into spy/assasin type shows, I think you'll enjoy this. Lots of deleted scenes included and various other extras too which makes this a good value boxset in my eyes.

I'd seen the movies, but not the original series, so can't compare this one to it, but I thoroughly enjoyed this revisit. Compared to series like "Alias" there were relatively few "I don't believe it!" moments; and it was refreshing to have no contrived plotting. The soundtrack was well done - barely even noticeable, which means it worked - and never drowned out the dialogue which so many series and movies are guilty of; while when song snippets were used they were well chosen. One of my favourite series ever.

This show is honestly so addictive. Maggie Q is a great leading lady who shines in every moment – from the kick-ass (literally) action scenes, to the more character-focused drama.This boxset is good value for money and I really like that it comes with an episode guide. A lot of boxsets I've bought on Amazon don't tend to come with one, which is a pet peeve of mine. It's such a simple thing and it's always a shame when it's not included. Thankfully, this Nikita boxset has the episode list/descriptions printed inside :)

This is excellent quality and a great series well worth the watch

Fantastic buy and value for money

Excellent series. Actors are superb and their characters are well written, they bounce off each other really well. Storylines keep you on the edge of your seat. A series that has an ending which is a rarity these days with cancellations.

Fast-paced action, intrigue, twists and turns, never a dull moment. Very convincing acting by Maggie Q, although they overdid the “witch”/“Alien” thing with Amanda. Does there always have to be one evil entity creating never ending havoc for everyone?! that got tedious for me at some point.

I read the product information and all of the reviews for this product before buying. Several recent reviews said that it is a version that will work with Canadadian players. I guess all the blue ray and dvd reviews are mixed in the same product.. the DVD version is region 2 and will NOT play on any Canadian dvd player or game systems. This makes the dvd set useless for my household and this is why it is lowly rated. No idea what the quality is, since I can’t play it. Too expensive to ship/return. It should really clearly state if this product is not able to play in North America… probably shouldn’t even be posted in the first place on the Canadian Amazon site.
