Beautiful imagery, and despite being based on a manga, the art style is very mature. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a bloody samurai romp.

One of the best Miike Takashi movies. If you have read the manga, you will like this. I would have liked it to be episodic, but in the 141 minuets what is captured from the manga, is done very well. I will definitely pick up the Blu-ray.

When I watched the anime, it brought goose bumps all over.When I watched this, I got chills and tears and all sorts of wtf...If you liked the anime even the slightest bit, you WILL love this..!
