I’ve tried quite a few matcha brands over the last couple of years, from supermarket tins to the more expensive ceremonial ones, and this one from OSSU has genuinely surprised me.😋 The first thing I noticed was the colour, it’s a proper bright green, not that dull yellow/green you get with cheaper matcha. It also smells really fresh when you open the tin.🤩 Taste wise, it’s really smooth. I usually make matcha lattes with oat milk, and this blends without any lumps when I whisk it properly. What I like most is that there’s no bitterness. Some matcha tastes sharp or grassy, but this one has that slightly sweet, creamy flavour you get from higher grade Japanese matcha. Energy wise, it’s exactly what I want: steady focus without the jittery coffee feeling. I’ve swapped one of my daily coffees for this and honestly prefer how I feel on it. It’s not the cheapest matcha, but I can see why. The quality is noticeably better than the other tins I’ve bought on Amazon, and I only use about half a teaspoon each time so it lasts. Overall I’m genuinely impressed. If you’re looking for matcha that actually tastes good and isn’t bitter, this is worth it.

This perhaps has to be one of the best matchas I’ve tried on this app and I’m pleasantly surprised. I’m a matcha fiend and love looking for alternatives and this one was recommended. It most definitely is worth the money as it has lasted me approx 3 months maybes it’s because I don’t use heaps of it. I just use what’s recommended which is a tsp. However, I’ve made it with 2-3 scoops before but that’s for the extra kick. To be fair in testing this out. I’ve used it without milk but straight up as is and tasted wonderful. I’ve also have made matcha earl grey, matcha oat latte and matcha homemade blueberry syrup with it! It’s just as delicious without any of the syrups and don’t need the extra sugar as it naturally has that sweetness to it when mixed nicely. It has a lovely shade of green and defo seen the significant difference when I stored it in the fridge as it’s still just as fresh but ofc use it as it should be consumed aha! The quality is great compared to the other matchas I’ve tried like the Yamasan Kyoto Uji matcha powder. In terms of smell it smells good and not really earthy which is surprising! Some matchas I’ve smelled is very vegetal. I also make videos on TikTok on tastingwithteter and the matcha I use for majority of my matcha drink videos have been this brand. So far I’m pleased with it surprisingly as I was expecting to be disappointed like my other purchases. I’m excited to try the silver grade as I was curious what that would be like as I liked this one so much. Hope this helps anyone decide whether to try or not!

Pretty good Matcha! Very sweet profile, and for the amount you get it’s very good value for money. Nice vibrant green colour and froths up well, I use it for my every day lattes, I do recommend adding a touch of salt and maple for a tasty cold foam, balances out the flavour profile. I like this brand! They are coming in clutch with the recent matcha shortage so will continue to buy. :)

Daily use for months. Tastes great, lasts a long time, smells wonderful, and is excellent quality for the price. Nothing negative. Highly recommended for matcha enthusiasts.

Fine but not for my tastes too bitter.

When I first ordered this matcha powder, the powder was so bitter despite me trying to make it with different techniques, milk, and syrups. So, I wrote a review explaining that. After that the brand team reached out to me offering me a refund explaining that it’s probably a spoiled sample and also offered me a new matcha powder on the house. When I received the package I didn’t only receive the powder, I also got a metal spoon for the matcha AND a personalized apology letter from the team which was the CUTEST most THOUGHTFUL thing ever. I immediately made an iced matcha latte with the new powder and OMG. It was AMAZING. It didn’t taste bitter at all and it was VERY smooth and so tasty. I would definitely recommend it and I will also be repurchasing it. A HUGE thank you to the costumer service team for their kind gesture and for giving a chance to discover my new go to matcha powder!!!!

Great quality, colour and flavour! Not bitter, clean and lovely matcha. Definitely tastes better with oat milk over dairy as I’ve found dairy overpowers the taste of the matcha!
