NY Threads Women's Turtleneck Long Sleeve Shirt Slim Fit Thermal Base Layer Tops

Finally, the perfect turtleneck for talls is here! I normally do not write reviews so quickly after receiving a product, but this one I felt is necessary to help all those women out there who are tired of constantly tucking in knit shirts that ride up with sleeves that are 4 inches too short and flimsy necks that droop. This one is the exception! Bonus....it doesn't appear to shrink or pill after being washed on "cool" and thrown in the dryer on "regular". I'm 5'11" tall and 150 lbs. I ordered the "L" and it is perfect. I would not term this a 'thermal base layer top' but rather, a heavyweight, good quality, jersey blend, similar to what you would find at LLBean or Lands' End (though they no longer appear to make blends in Talls - just cotton, which never holds its shape or color well over time). This is 65% poly/35% cotton, soft with good stretch. The neck is NOT tight, is very comfortable and stands up, folder over once, without gaping. I will definitely be ordering more. Like NOW.

Warm and comfortable. Turtleneck sweater fits great. Great quality. Its thick enough to keep me warm and fashionable. I will be purchasing more. If it helps, I'm 5'3" 140lbs and I have medium!

I ordered one in black and one in brown. Both shirts were of the same good quality and can be worn alone as they are not as thin as some others I looked at. The fit was true to size - I’m 5’5’, 145 lbs and I ordered large. I saw no pulling seams or other Damage on the material. I would recommend this product.

Great fit: it can be hard to find a turtleneck that's shaped like a woman (not a box). Love the somewhat lightweight soft cotton comfort. I overheat easily so the weight is important. A bit cheaply made but inexpensive, so I can't complain.

It sucks getting your hopes up when buying clothes on Amazon only to have them show up as something different. NOT THESE. I LOVE THIS TURTLE NECK. It's great. It's very soft and comfortable and I'll be buying more. For reference.. I'm 5'11" 136 lbs and I got the Medium. It is perfect if you want it very fitted. If you want a little room, go up a size. If you want it a little "baggy" go up 2 sizes. Hope this helps!

Gorgeous color, nice long sleeves, great fit, love the cotton content, nice and thick.

MATERIAL - I always wash things like this in a delicates bag and always wash before wearing on gentle and dry on delicate. Came out well. LIKE the material. This is definitely a Fall/Winter turtleneck. This could be dressed up or down. As in I would wear it with a nice skirt or jeans. FIT - OK fit is a PRO and a CON. I ordered one size up. I usually get an XXLARGE in anything that says fitted because I am bigger on top than the bottom. I like things not baggy, but not tight. Feels more like an Xlarge or Large in chest and stomach. The seams for the shoulders are about two inches below my shoulders and the sleeves are long, which I actually like. While it's a touch, just a touch tighter in chest and stomach than I would like, it then kind of bags out toward the bottom, which is really long. THE NECK, the neck is SNUG on the XXLarge. I think if I went down to my usual XLARGE, would be too tight. PRICE - for material, quality, good price. Fit is just a bit odd. BOTTOMLINE: It isn't the staple (I planned on getting at least two more if this fit well, but it's like different sizes in the same turtleneck, a franken-neck) I had hoped. Not sorry I got. I will work in with layers in Fall and Winter.

Packaged well; received on time. I love the NY Threads brand women's turtlenecks; cotton blend; slightly flexible, very soft. However, the sizing charts are way off; I am 5ft 9in, 119 lbs, 34B; and size medium was way too small, as I could hardly get my head through the head opening; also too small across shoulders, and too tight across chest. So I had to send the mediums back for which I received a full refund. After the refund processed then I ordered size large and they fit nicely. One other thing, one color (burgundy) was not available via the NY Threads brand, so I had to order size large from the Amazon Essentials brand, which was made in Madagascar and which, when opened, had a horrible odor; also, the turtleneck part of the Amazon Essentials brand is a little larger around the neck. The NY Threads brand are made in Pakistan and did not have an odor and the turtleneck part hugs the neck better but not tight or uncomfortable so it holds its' shape very well. I washed all of the turtlenecks before wearing. All held up nicely through the cold wash & warm dryer cycles. The cost per item varied depending on the color and was very reasonable for the quality; here's the cost breakdown; Gray $14.99, Coffee $12.99, Burgundy $15.20, Dark Blue $12.99, Black $14.99, Green $12.99, for a total of $84.15 and free shipping. I ordered one of each. Would buy again now that I know NOT to trust the sizing charts.

Lovely smart black top! Goes well with jeans or white cotton pants. Great fit and can be worn on different occasions.

Really very pleased with this Turtleneck. A great thickness, nice quality material and the fit is also great. I purchased a small, I wear a medium top but this may run a little on the larger side. It will likely be a staple of my winter wardrobe.
