Great set, very nicely made and arrived just as described.

Great set. Pretty colour and well presented. Good box.

The pieces themselves are great. Albeit very heavy (14.2 lbs.) including the case. Not ideal if you carry it out of the house to play elsewhere. The large instead of X-L might be big enough. This size is great if you just play at home. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with chips, guid booklet or the wind indicator. (We use poker chips anyway) Although the case is much better than the cardboard/plastic options. I still would not trust that the handle isn’t going to give out. Must carry from the case itself.

Extremely impressed with the quality of these mahjong tiles. The case was pretty heavy from the weight of the tiles. Immediately noticed that the case had some scuffs/stains and scratches. However, the contents looked good. The case only opens 90 degrees. The inside of the case is lined with red felt. The mahjong tiles were divided into four groups and wrapped. Five dice were also included. After unwrapping, was reassured of the quality. The weight and size of the tiles were nice, the coloring of the characters/symbols was done well, and the additional pattern on the back of the tiles was a nice touch. Shuffling them, there was that signature clack as the tiles collided with each other. Besides the scuffs on the case, the only other complaint is that there isn't a spacer included. After unwrapping the tiles and stacking them back in, it either leaves a gap in the center for tiles to fall in, or if you fill it, the top layer becomes partially packed so tiles will slide around and rattle. Some sort of spacer would have been nice to hold the dice and maintain the center space.

This mahjong set feels worth every penny and more. The tiles are heavy, the size official, and the quality superb. Even the case is nice. Makes for a great gift! Before you even open the case you know this is going to be a great set of Mahjong tiles because it weighs so much. Once opened you get a peek at the beautiful tiles and you know it is. The Mahjong figures are etched onto the tiles, not just painted. The case is made of heavy metal and latches securely. I’ve played the computer solitaire version of the game but never the head to head version. I was hoping to get an instruction manual but none was included.. it’s easy enough to find one online. Other than that, there is nothing about this Mahjong set that I do not love.
