Bicycle Motor Works 66/80cc Silver Engine Kit

I received the kit from Bicycle Motor Works via their Amazon seller listing. First observations; the box was crushed/dented on one side. I can't ascertain if it was caused by the seller or shipping co. Secondly, there are some seriously quality control issues. The cylinder exchange, intake and exhaust ports are in terrible condition. They have casting that rises up on from the ports. You will have to clean them up with a rotary tool. Also, at top dead center the piston skirt drops down in front of the intake port about an 8th of an inch. You will have to remedy this by modifying (millimg) the piston skirt (relatively easy enough to do with a rotary tool). The flaws I mentioned are virtually indicative of many of these 66cc motors no matter which brand it is ie. Flying Horse, Grubee, Seeutec, etc. I just assumed that with the boasted specs on these Zeda 80's there would be better quality control. Bicycle Motor Works should make mention of these flaws and that the consumer (you) will have to modify them yourself before using the motor.Everything else eapears to be in order. I will update my review once I mount it on my frame and inspect or areas of the motor.UPDATE: I have not yet been able to ride using this motor, but after having mounted it, I noticed that the clutch assembly has some issues. When adjusting the clutch using the flower nut, it keeps giving me slack in the clutch cable (something I've never seen before on any 66cc motor). The cable should always remain taught when the clutch is disengaged and is being tightened or loosened. Not a huge problem but just makes things slightly more difficult to adjust.I will update more as I make progress with the installation.

I bought this kit after much resurch and so far have not been disappointed. The kit was not damaged. The engine was put together correctly as many 2 strike engines are not. I have had reason to contact the company twice now and have received statsfactiry responses with in a few hours. Building bike now and an impressed with everything I have received so far. Start up in a couple days. I'll update thenUpdate engine runs well but with a bad head gasket. Bicycle Motor Works has been contacted and is shipping me a replacement head gasket.When I buy another engine kit for my second build I WILL be using Bicyclemotorworks.com again

Product went together pretty easy and runs great. Rear sprocket was a little challenging to get mounted true but no fault of the kit. Method of mounting is basic and lots of room for adjustment.

The media could not be loaded.  Fit my bicycle very well. Works beter than expected.
