A book to treasure.
I can't add much to what has already been said, except that this will re-kindle exciting memories for those of us old enough to remember the Apollo days. It is such a treasure trove (mainly pictorial with a lot of reduced size facsimiles) that it should also interest those of more tender years. It is, after all, a facsimile Apollo scrapbook of a 12 year old boy, whose grandfather worked in Mission Control in 1969.

One Small Step - One Giant Book .. a fascinating look at the race to land a human on the Moon .. and to travel beyond!
Written by an expert communicator in Astronomy and Spaceflight this book opens up (literally and figuratively) the universal appeal of Space travel through a collection of artefacts and detailed information - it mirrors the author's own infectious love for the subject, and includes facsimiles of newspaper cuttings, as well as a Moon map, time-lines of missions and a look at an astronaut's typical day in space.Jerry Stone, who holds workshops for school and lectures for all people across the UK and beyond, (http://spaceflight-uk.com/workshops.html) has written an absorbing and fascinating book including many little-known facts which would appeal both to young people and to older enthusiasts. His name is on the Mars Rover and on the new Horizons Spacecraft which reached Pluto in 2015. His book should be on your shelf!Don't just take my word for it; Sir Patrick Moore said "It's marvellous!" ... and he should know!

a fun gift for a 50-something
Ever wondered what present to give to a 50+? Well this book fits the bill. For those who were around in the time of the Apollo missions and moon landings this book recaptures some of the wonder and amazement of those past times of Neil Armstrong walking on the moon. The book is a fun scrapbook really, but full of facts and figures and nostalgia. At less than £10 from Amazon you can't go wrong...
