Great for small or large spaces, sturdy, lightweight. Perfection
Perfect seating option for a small lanai or patio. When the recliner is in upright position it takes as much space as a normal chair. As you lean back the foot rest comes up to support your legs. I did find that I didn't have enough lumbar support. However. the fabric is so comfortable that I really didn't need a head pillow so, voila!, I'm using the detachable pillow as a lumbar support. This chair is all about options. Lots of positions from sitting upright to reclining. The position is easily locked when you find your sweet spot. I have an adjustable bed and a bad back so I'm used to the zero gravity feature. That was one of the biggest selling points when I looked at recliners.I was concerned about how much visual space a recliner would take up in my limited space. Try almost zip, nada. The fabric is sturdy but virtually transparent like a sunshade. You can see right thru. This was so unexpected and a visual delight. I love the seigle color (French for "rye").My style is minimalist contemporary. It's like someone designed this chair just for me. There is a 2 year warranty so I'm glad I didn't pay for extra coverage. I bought 2 chairs. One arrived in 3 days. The 2nd should be here in 5 days. The chair was easy to unpack and intuitive to set up. No assembly required.I almost forgot to mention that the recliner easily folds up if you need to get it out of the way. It's not compact enough for the beach (in my opinion) but I bought it to use in my home. As I write this we are anticipating a possible hurricane. If you've ever had to lug all your outdoor furniture into your indoor living space then you know how happy I am that I can fold my recliners and lean against a wall taking up minimal space.I also love that this chair is still made in France and that it sells at a very reasonable price point. I'll update the review for sturdiness after I've had it for a while

Really is much better
I have had several of the cheap copies of this Lafuma chair and they have been ok. This chair really is better. It’s design is sleeker more comfortable and actually locks in place quite easily and quite firmly, unlike all the chairs with the ratcheting plastic gizmo that always eventually stops working or never really worked very well. The clip system that they use to hold the fabric in place is much firmer than the bungee elastic cord versions and leads to a more comfortable and supportive feeling. My partner and I are about 5 foot six and 5 foot eight and neither of us weigh over 140 pounds and the chair is quite big enough and comfortable. I can even rest my heel on the foot rest at the bottom, if this was for a bigger person I don’t think I would be able to.

Have bought these chairs for 25 years and love them!
Have bought these chairs for 25 years and love them! They were first introduced to me at a back store and I fell in love with them, I even gave them to each of our 4 sons so that I had them to sit inside their homes in a comfortable chair for my back. They last for decades and you can buy replacement parts for the small stuff that might break. If you want to be comfortable or have a bad back, buy this chair and Don’t buy the copies, they aren’t the same! Only LaFuma

would not recommend
After experiencing a TRUE anti gravity chair at a reflexology office I asked what brand and this is what I was told; however, this chair does not actually recline into the full antigrav experience. And after 6 months of intermittent use it has many loose joints the seat material has stretched. If this is an actual LaFuma chair it is NOT of the grade I would expect based on price and experience of the reflexology practitioner's chair.

Nice chair with one exception
Bought this chair just before Christmas, and it was about $25.00 more than it is now in January, but I thought it was worth it. Chair arrived very quickly and is ready to go right out of the box. It looked to be well-constructed, and I was happy with it. I am a big guy, and it was just a wee bit tight when getting out. I've used it for a few weeks outside in the Florida sun and humidity. Very comfortable, except for the getting out part. However, the one thing that is a problem is the right front plastic cushion on the bottom of the frame. There are four of them, and the one on the right will not stay on the frame. It is a compression fitting, and the cushion has a small spike that fits into a hole into the bottom of the frame. No matter what I do, the cushion falls off after one or two uses. I am thinking of just gluing it so it stays on. Otherwise a great chair. I ordered the XL size and it is on its way, and I am eager to use it.

Unbelievably comfortable
Received this today and was almost sorry I tried it out, because I never wanted to get out of it. So comfortable! So relaxing! Great stress relief! When I researched these chairs, this one was described as the Rolls Royce that would ruin you for any other chair. Almost ordered one of the others noted to be good but not as expensive, but hey, how many times in life will I own a Rolls Royce? Whew, this is so worth it. Seems super well made, operates smoothly, will probably serve for a long time. Highly recommend! How long before I can get back in there? Maybe I'll even get my work done faster in anticipation.

Not for those with lumbar issues
I purchased this chair as an alternative to standard camp or folding chairs. I wanted a way to sit outside that offered some semblance of lower back support. I thought it would be great to take pressure off my lower back. On the positive side, it is aesthetically pleasing and seems to be well made. However, this chair was the opposite of supportive. I had to add a fairly significant amount of lumbar support. Once the chair is in its full reclined position, it is comfortable and takes pressure off. However, trying to get up out of the chair is a recipe for re-injury. I'm a fairly average height for a woman (5'7), but my feet didn't touch the bars. It doesn't allow you to sit all the way upright - so I kind of had to shimmy and hoist myself forward and then put my body weight on my hands to lift out of the chair without tweaking my back (I am also average weight and in decent shape, so not a size or muscle strength issue). Bummed this chair didn't work for me.
