This works fine if used correctly, I need to pull the sock completely over the opening, if you don't do that the sock will slide off because the helper is tapered. My biggest complaint is that it is to small for large feet, even with it adjusted so it opens to its maximum position, I can barely get my foot inside. I removed a star because it is too small for large feet.

Having seen these used in my Dr's office, I purchased a pair for my follow up wearing of compression socks. This contraption can be useful but it definitely takes getting used to. Subsequent to my need to wear compression socks, my wife had surgery and had to also wear them. I think these would really be good for hospital or nursing home staff who have to help patients put on compression socks as they staff would become more skilled in using this device if done over a period of time. As my Dr's nurse said she felt it really saved her a lot of work
