Ziggy to the max
This is a must for Bowie/Ziggy fans, with deep pockets. My first Bowie album, bought in 1972, and the start of a lifelong love affair with the greatest solo artist these islands have ever produced. Following on from Conversation Piece (Space Oddity album) and Divine Symmetry (Hunky Dory) and given the same loving treatment by Ken Scott and others. Beautifully curated and packaged by Parlophone with a veritable smorgasbord of alternative versions, early versions, outtakes and those that didn't make the cut. And, for the unenlightened, the Blu Ray disc isn't video, it's audio and it's the best thing in the whole package. Fantastic remixes, and sound remasters. This is the way forward. But don't just take my word for it, find out for yourself. Hopefully the Bowie estate will carry this on with the later 70s albums.

Yes, he was awful nice… really quite paradise!
I was a bit hesitant to purchase this immediately, as soooo expensive, but I did in the end, and I am glad I did. Highlights for me were a lot of the BBC sessions and 3 cracking live and demo versions of Lady Stardust where Bowie’s voice just soars so beautifully and a version sung an octave down which showed an octave up was the way to go… overall, from the 67 tracks on the 5 x CD discs, some tracks are great to hear out of interest, but are not really for playing over and over… but hey, I have actually added 40 tracks of the 67 so far onto a regular playlist for the car… and that’s without the books which are next on the agenda!By the way… on my Blu Ray… the John, I’m Only Dancing original single… mine seems to be missing an opening strum or two… will be interested if anybody else picks that up? An easy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ anyway. It’s a beautiful set from THE greatest musical artist there has ever been. Really quite outta sight!

Some gems among the dross. Bad delivery.
It’s the size of Telephone Directory. The book which also contains the disks is nicely put together but not something you will read repeatedly. The same applies to the scribbly scrawly note book.As for the content. The first disk is barely listenable z-grade bootleg quality drenched in warbley tape hiss with added wow and flutter. Disk 2 is more of the same and it’s only until 5 tracks in that there is something listenable.I realise the compilers were trying to retain the original sound but for some tracks on disk 1 a little AI enhancement wouldn’t have hurt.Still It’s nice to have the radio broadcasts and some choice live tracks all in one place , but in reality there’s not much that hasn’t already been released on the special editions of Ziggy Aladdin Sane and the Five Years Boxsets. Was it worth the money? Well the completist lifelong fan In me says yes, but the pragmatist in me says it’s an interesting if expensive dust collector like many of my Bowie box sets.Delivery: I live in terraced property with a front door which opens onto the street. My front doorbell rang once and by the time I opened the door, the courier had vanished and My box set was left on the doorstep as it began to rain. According to the delivery report it was left in my (non-existent) back porch. Not impressed

A must for Ziggy Stardust fans
If you are a massive fan of David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust period you will have probably already have bought this, I waited until it dropped in price before purchasing, the books that come with it are a very good read.for me the reason I got it was for the Blu-ray and the 5.1 mix of the original album.
