Mycology Men Premium Mushroom Liquid Culture | Pink Oyster (Pleurotus djamor) | Liquid Culture Syringe, Clear

On my third Pink Oyster run, currently. The first two went well, and the third current one's looking great.

I inoculated 2 grain spawn bags, which colonized super poorly, or not at all. I then inoculated 5 agar plates to see what was up. Same issue. Maybe the shipping took too long, and it overheated. See agar plate picture for comparison of a Golden Oyster from a different vendor inoculated on the same day. Bummer.

Mushroom never grew without contamination. It might have been an issue of our technique, or the spores.

This Spawn seemed to come contaminated. All six grain jars innoculated with this syringe had bacterial contamination. Cloned the Spawn and saw the exact same issue from the 2nd generation. Same tek with a different brand's syringe saw excellent results.

I’ve tried other varieties from these guys and they are all great. Excited to try the pink oysters
