Eagle Creek Undercover Hidden Pocket, Khaki

We just returned from a mission's trip to Liberia, West Africa. I read a lot of reviews of different ways of carrying cash and passports safely and securely while maintaining some level of comfort. I settled on trying the Eagle Creek Travel Gear Hidden Pocket and ordered one. When I received it I tried it out and liked what I saw. I took it to one of our final mission trip meetings (11 of us were going) and others purchased this item as well. I personally ordered two more (one more for me and one for my wife).To make a long story short, I wore two Eagle Creek Hidden Pockets the entire two weeks we were in Liberia. In one I carried the gas and tip money for the team's travel and in the other I carried personal cash along with my passport. Both of the Hidden Pockets held up very well for the entire time. I used both loops through my belt and they were pretty much unnoticeable. These pockets were very comfortable and a number of times I panicked as the one with just the cash in it was hard to even feel when I reached for it.The size of the bag is perfect for money to be placed in it unfolded. After two weeks of wearing them the loops and bags are showing no significant signs of wear and held up well. I (we) experienced NO problems with the loops as some of the other reviewers reported. I highly recommend this product if you are searching for a functional, safe and comfortable means to carry valuables.What worked good for me was to carry my passport and bulk of my money in this hidden pocket. In my regular pocket I had a money clip with easy access to small amounts of money to spend while out in the markets. And in my wallet I had more money to easily access in case something was expensive and that way I could access a few larger bills without jeopardizing the bulk of my money which was always safely tucked under my pants in the hidden pocket.My wife wore skirts while in Liberia and wore a belt over her skirt and put the pocket on the belt. She then wore shirts over the top. This worked well for her. (Not sure what she did when she wore her scrubs in the medical clinic).For me...this product is a "no-brainer" and I would buy it again if the need arises.

I’ve had and have several in black, mocha, and khaki, for daily use, work, and travel. I use one as my daily wallet. If not overloaded, it can be folded in half and put in the front pants pocket. I also use them flat and fit perfectly in my jacket, coat, or purse/tote. Folded they fit in rain pants, and regular pants /shorts pockets. I put a little change, bills, ID, credit cards, license, registration, insurance, bandaid or two, a few business cards, book of stamps, a a few coupons in my daily one. A second, sometimes a different color, has other store cards, gift cards, etc, goes in my backpack or tote. When traveling, they fit nicely into hotel safes. I’ve lightly hand cleaned them, to get dirt etc off, as needed but find they rarely have needed it. The past 1 1/2 years, I have wiped them down or lightly sprayed them with sanitizer with no issues. The daily one for me lasts 3-4 years or longer so it is durable and comfortable in my pants or jacket pockets. They are versatile for me and definitely a staple in my arsenal of personal, work, and travel items.

The size is good for cash a credit card and ID, the two color strap options make this a more functional, and the fabric is comfortable. I would give it five stars if it had RFID protection, that's a minor issue easily solved by an RFID credit card sleave. It will also hold a passport.

I don't understand the negative reviews or the complaints about quality. The Hidden Pocket I received is well-made, with the brown and black belt loops securely sewn into the side seam. It's intelligently designed, with a large main pocket the perfect size for a passport and paper currency. Two additional mesh pockets on one inside surface are the right size for credit cards, driver's license or other similar sized cards set perpendicular to the main pocket. The entire Hidden Pocket is made of rip-stop nylon. The side that goes against your leg when you're wearing it has an additional layer of soft, woven and breathable nylon or polyester, making it comfortable.I wore and used this every day for three weeks and it's still in great shape. As far as I can tell, it has many more trips left in it.

I bought this for a 2 week trip to Europe because of all the scary pickpocket stories and can review it now that I've returned. I don't like money belts but figured better safe than sorry so I chose this. It fits a passport, a card or 2, and cash. It can fit more but that's what I carried.ProsComfortable- I had this on with the above items and it didn't bother me at all. I could feel it most of the time but think it's actually better that way so you're reminded it's still there.Small- Very minimalist. Just big enough so your passport will fit and about the length of a dollar bill.ConsFlimsy- It feels cheaply made but held together and did it's job. $10 seems a fairer price for it.Access- Taking it out and putting it back is very awkward, especially when you're at the front desk and they need to see your passport. You have to reach inside your pants to slide it then flip out, then stuff it back it after.Accessing the pocket really is the biggest con but the comfort factor outweighs that for me.

I usually use a money belt bag hidden underneath my shirt but this time I want to try something more discreet and this one caught my eye because of its size and functionality.The US Dollar bill fits perfectly but be aware that some other international currencies won’t fit unless you fold it. I didn’t use it for my passport but it could fit in there.This is so comfortable to use that sometimes I forgot that I was wearing it with me and I think this is one of my favorite “must have” when traveling.
