TL;DR: It does as advertised. Pretty satisfied.
I spent a long time looking for a 4 bay M.2 2280 SSD enclosure with Thunderbolt 3 (or 4) support. There aren’t that many options out there. I finally settled on Trebleet because of the active cooling and they were pretty honest about the shared bandwidth limitations.I ran a few quick speed tests on my WD Black SN850X 4TB SSD. These are all in MB/s read, write:Aja:- 2827, 2617AmorphousDiskMark:- SEQ1M QD8: 3150, 2886- SEQ1M QD1: 2627, 2501- RND4K QD64: 1679, 463- RND4K QD1: 64, 45Blackmagic Disk Speed Test (5 GB stress)- 2830, 2725As expected, it gets close to the max speed for sequential reads and writes to/from my MacBook Air M3. Transferring data between SSD drives within the enclosure is super fast. There is some fan noise, but it’s not that bad — about as loud as laptop fan noise used to be.My only gripe is that I wish it was a tool-less design. The screws are really tiny. I put a magnet on the provided screwdriver so that I wouldn’t drop the screws. If not for that, I would have given it 5 stars.UPDATE: I’m bumping this up to 5 stars because their customer service is very responsive. One of the fans started to fail and made loud grinding noises. I contacted Trebleet, they requested some pictures to make sure they understood which component it was, and sent a replacement part without any fuss. I replaced the fan, and everything works great again. 🥳

not working
This came to me not working. I wanted a replacement, but Amazon on gave me the option of refund. I wanted the product, and I wanted it to work

Good quality build, high speed, fan noise give me headache
I'm generally pleased with the build quality and design of this device, which holds its own when compared to the Mac Studio. The disk read and write speeds are as advertised, and the temperature reading of the m.2 drive remains consistently at 113F. However, I do have one major complaint: the fan noise is extremely loud and high-pitched, to the point where it's become unbearable. Even after isolating it in a separate room, the noise is still distracting.

Works as expected
It claims 2280MBps but Blackmagic test shows around 1500MBps write and 2400MBps read. I configured it with 4x4TB JBOD via MacOS. I use Crucial P3 NVME M.2. No heat at all just twice the body temperature warm. You will hear the fan so if this annoys you then you can use longer TB3 cable. I use this as a file system for my home theater and all my equipment is outside of the room. Honestly, the thermal pad and one fan on the bottom probably is enough depending on how intensive you will be using it. I think I will modify it and replace the fan with a quieter one.

Better than the predecessor. Fan noisy. Warranty service from Trebleet not great.
I have both the old version of this and this new one. This came to be when the old one's fans failed and fried several of my NVME drives due to overheat. I was in the midst of a cross-country move, and Trebleet wanted me to send the old unit back first before they'd send a replacement. I sent it back, at the cost of over USD$50. When I asked how I could get the replacement sooner, they suggested that I could order *from their website* the new model, and then once they received my return they would issue a refund. Apparently they intended to refund the original Amazon order, presumably to save on small fees etc. I also paid $30 for expedited shipping, yet still my return arrived to them before my replacement order even shipped. And now, I'm in the middle of a "discussion" with them about how I misunderstood and that they intended to refund my original Amazon order but they can't find it despite screenshots. So I asked why they couldn't just refund the new order? They claim in their emails to be sincere but asking me to buy from their website instead of on Amazon where the same item could have been delivered to me next day, is a little less than sincere. So 14 days later and I'm still waiting for some sort of refund, and they are asking for 2 more days. Well in 6 days my window for opening a PayPal dispute will have lapsed. Additionally, the unit arrived missing a power button, and multiple screws were missing and loose inside the enclosure. They do seem like a good enough company, innovative, etc. And this one does seem to work well, so far, but only time will tell if these fans hold up any better than the previous unit's fans. If the fans fail, then overheat happens pretty quickly. It should have some sort of alarm built in for high temperature warning, or automatic shutoff to preempt damage to the drives. Because I lost one 2TB drive and one 4TB drive due to overheat. The speeds are definitely decent, but literally this is the exact same board as the predecessor just in a different enclosure. So I'll revise this review to let you know how this debacle with Trebleet turns out and whether the fans hold up (if I end up keeping this unit at all). It does feel well constructed, but I'm going to have to fully disassemble the unit to install the power button that they're going to ship to me separately. Completely disassemble. And hope that I don't cut myself in the process. They should maintain some sort of USA agent that can handle warranty returns, rather than requiring that we spend such a high amount to return the product to them. --Josh
