BCEUniversal Remote Control for Sony Tv

It's an acceptable remote. But VERY universal, button layout is a little different to standard Sony and features that aren't supported are all over the handset. Interestingly it isn't capable of waking the telly from deep sleep (a lower power idle if you will) -- more than a day of standby or so, whereas the Sony equivalent handset is. This is for an ancient model though, by today's standards -- It was a gift and I love a freebie, or five.Plastics and weight are not on par with Sony originals, if you plan on this thing having a hard life, treat it nicely or it will crack.All this being said, originals for one of the models I have are as expensive as bull s*m*n and as rare as rocking horse sh*t!!! Yes, I did my homework before buying this model. It's acceptable, I wouldn't want to use it on my everyday telly though -- it'd drive me mental.It is entirely possible that I'm just pedantic. For the price it's passable, but not for day in day out, main telly usage. Bedroom or spare room, yes.

When I received this I didn't expect it to work. The model list on the packaging didn't include my model. The list on theback of the pack shows far fewer models than the product description for this item on Amazon. The buttons I need to work work. There are buttons for functions my TV dosnt have so I can't comment on those.

Does what it says it does. No set up requires at all and buttons in similar places too. The only negatives is that it is double the size of the original remote (the one for my tv anyway) and feels very plasticy and cheap. But for the price it's brilliant!!

Worked as soon as batteries inserted. All buttons worked except the programme guide. The most important button for my mum is the programme guide. Had to return it.

When reviewing a product like this you have to consider cost. Yes, the build quality is not quite as good as the Sony original, however for £4.46 you really cannot complain. I only bought it as I appear to have temporarily lost the original which would cost £20 to replace like for like.All buttons work ok, however the directional ring buttons are quite stiff to press.

This is crap don't buy this rubbish, if it looks like this on the picture don't buy it, it works (well... some of the buttons do) but it's a massive swear word... I would never write a review on something that I bought for 3k that I was disappointed with, but this thing is such a piece of crap I don't even think it lets me put zero stars? It's not even one star, pathetic, I would definitely buy this again, solely just to snap it in half so there is one left on the world

Does the job,all functions work ok,very good price,much cheaper than Sony original.

Works perfectly fine accept the guide button.
