KATUMO Bird Toys, Parakeet Grass Mat Foraging Toy Parrot Shredding Hanging for Cockatiel Lovebird Parakeet Budgie Small-Medium Birds

I have a solitary, semi-feral female lovebird that I took in to "foster" four years ago. She detests me despite my best efforts, and tends to hang out in her enclosure when not flying for exercise. Because of this, I'm always looking for enrichment toys for her rapidly shredding little beak. I unboxed this, and was immediately struck by the quality of the materials, which were markedly nicer than expected. It has an excellent variety of both colorful and natural stimulating features, including some spray millet, a large (for a LB) whole nut, lots of woven palm/raffia (over an inch thick), safe wooden beads, and novel to me plastic round fasteners (time will tell if those are preferential or equal to steel carabiners. They're definitely better than the hardened palm rounds in newer All Living Things toys, which the bird chews through in less than 10 minutes). I bought this and another similar design, and thought they were an excellent value for what I paid, considering they're larger, more diverse, and more robust than most in store toys Mina the bird has decimated. She did immediately go for a corner and detach the mat from it's hook, but that's something she does, and it was very easy to reattach elsewhere.

I have a rescue parakeet and am still working on building up her confidence. Overly loud or flimsy/very movable toys scare her, so I was excited to see this has by far been her favorite! It is very sturdy when attached to the wall of the cage, and she can climb and tear it apart while feeling secure. It seems durable to last her quite some time and it doesn’t have any pieces like strings or jingle balls that would make me nervous about keeping it in her cage unattended. It was definitely made with birds in mind, and I love that all the bases are covered for safety and enrichment. I’ve been hiding tiny pieces of millet in there as well and she goes NUTS for it! Very great value for the price. (Heads up the clips are very large so if you have tiny bars in the cage you may have to replace them. They were fine for me but might not be for your cage) Very great toy for budgies, she’s happy, so I’m happy!

My budgies wish me to tell you that they are obsessed with this! The millet is long gone but they continue working hard to tear the streamers off. Great entertainment for my feathered friends and my enjoyment watching their antics!

My Quaker parrot loves to chew and shred this mat. No concerns with safety, bright colors, easy for him to chew and shred, and he can entertain himself for hours. Price is right and it doesn’t take up room in his cage.

Good toy my pet conure really enjoys scavenging and destroying it. It’s been a month almost and most of it is still intact. Would recommend for smaller birds though if you want it to last long.
