R-Go Split Keyboard - Perfect ergonomic office solution and Portable
I’ve been using split keyboards for several years now, and for the past four years, I’ve relied on the wired R-GO ergonomic split keyboard at my home office, using a separate numpad for convenience. But I wanted something more portable for travel, and that’s when I found the R-GO Split Keyboard – Bluetooth version. From the moment I started using it, I knew it was a game-changer. It’s incredibly lightweight, making it perfect for my travel bag, yet it doesn’t compromise on ergonomics. The magnetic design allows me to easily convert it into a single keyboard when needed, which is a thoughtful touch. It did take me some time to adjust to using a split keyboard when I first started years ago, but now, I can’t imagine going back to a traditional one. This design helps keep my elbows aligned with my shoulders, eliminating the need to angle them inward—something I truly appreciate as a physical therapist.Another feature I love is the break light indicator. It’s a subtle but effective reminder to take breaks and prevent strain on my hands and wrists. Along with my R-GO Twister Mouse and R-GO Flexible Lightweight Stand, I basically travel with a fully ergonomic office—all of it weighing just around 1.4 lbs!If you’re looking for a truly ergonomic, travel-friendly keyboard without sacrificing comfort, the R-GO Split Keyboard is a fantastic choice. It’s everything I wanted for both work and travel, and I couldn’t be happier with my setup!

Great idea, meh implementation
Pros:1. Looks and materials.2. This is the only split slim scissor keyboard on the market. But it could be better.Cons:1. The cable between the parts is not removable. (Wired version has two cable of different lengths)2. Predefined function keys on the left. The website promises that you can customize this buttons using r-go software, but there is no such option. Support is silent.3. You cannot exit the r-go software, it is always in the system tray. Use task manger to do it.It would be good to have a backlight.

Comfy Split Design But Wonky Wireless
I’ve been searching for a split keyboard for awhile now but most everything is mechanical so I was ecstatic when I found this. The low profile scissor switches were exactly what I was looking for and the split design was very comfortable to use, especially propped up to mimic the handshake position. Unfortunately, the Bluetooth connection stopped working out of the blue after a couple weeks. Tried it with 3 different computers and it was still dead. Ended up returning it. My work bought me a replacement. It’s been a week and the replacement is still working so far. Will update this if anything changes.

Not for Macs; that should be removed from the title. Windows/Linux ONLY. Expensive.
Whoever wrote the title was blowing some smoke concerning being Mac-compatible. It's barely that, as reviewers on Amazon UK point out. Reading critical reviews from verified buyers on the UK site is highly recommended if you are considering shelling out over $100 for this keyboard. The box mentions only Windows and Linux compatibility, no matter the couple of Mac keys on the thing that are in the wrong positions.Mac users should seriously consider the $50 Macally split-angled keyboard (B0CM6XWFWB) that I previously reviewed and is my daily driver. While it is not split-adjustable, it is a pure Mac keyboard and I find it very ergonomic once I got used to the typing position; the Control, Function, Option, and Command keys are in the correct positions unlike many that purport to be Mac compatible.Positives (for Windows / Linux users):• very adaptable to your comfort since the keyboard is two pieces you can position anywhere• nice to type on; the keys do not feel cheap at all (see below for a related negative)• can be used as a regular keyboard by simply pushing the modules together which are magnetizedNegatives:• There is no information concerning whether this is approved by any U.S. organization that evaluates products for carpal tunnel. The only "seal" printed on the box is for a German backache ergonomics organization; its website does not mention the evaluation of keyboards.• Unlike the replaceable cable on the European versions, the cable that holds the two parts together is HARD-WIRED. If that breaks, the keyboard becomes e-waste.• There is no way to customize keys (unlike with Logitech and other top brands)• Height is not adjustable; it's simply flat• I found the build quality to be suspect; many UK reviewers mentioned failures• Expensive• Only a 1-year warranty. Also, I had difficulty "finding" keys typing on Windows without looking at my typing, even with the two parts attached due to the non-standard layout. The keys seem to be too stiff, as some presses did not register, just like some Amazon UK buyers complained about. If you buy this, give it a solid workout before the Amazon return period expires. MAKE SURE YOU BUY FROM THE R-GO OFFICIAL STORE for warranty and other support. You may need to select that in "Other sellers on Amazon."Or consider the highly-rated and customizable Ergodox EZ that WireCutter recommends and that comes with a 2-year warranty. My rating system:5 Stars = Knocks it out of the park. A great value!4 Stars = Excellent product. A solid buy.3 Stars = It provides some value, but perhaps not as advertised.2 Stars = A little dubious, so do your research. Read the critical reviews!1 Star = Avoid this product and look elsewhere.

Surprising great
I ordered this cautiously. I've used a split ergonomic keyboard before (years ago) and loved it, so I was hoping that I would like this one as well to be used on my MacBook. It connected quite easily. The quality is very nice and very Apple-esque; I could see this definitely being produced and sold by Apple. The most surprising and delightful piece to this was when I went to my typing test website that I test all keyboards on. I typically can hit 108 wpm when using my best and favorite (mechanical) keyboard. When testing this keyboard I was able to consistently hit 90-95 wpm, which I think is quite impressive for this type of flat (less tactile keys).
