The cheese is packed in a protective atmosphere, and therefore, remains completely isolated from the external environment under conditions of complete hygiene . Under these conditions, the product maintains intact all its organoleptic characteristics and flavour, as well as its nutritional properties: once the pack is opened, the cheese appears as if it has just been cut with the same fragrance and aroma of the whole cheese. Store the product at a temperature of between 0°C and +8°C, or freeze; once defrosted, consume within a few days. Take these little pieces along as a snack, an Italian style coffee break, road-side picnic given to a friend or, better yet, enjoyed together. With the Consorzio del Parmigiano Reggiano seal , it is a "DOP" product (Denomination of Protected Origin), and, in fact, can today be produced as it was eight centuries ago, only with essential and natural ingredients: quality milk for the local area, fire and curdle, with the genuine ancient methods, with the art and wisdom of the dairyman. 16 litres of milk are required to produce one kilo of Parmigiano Reggiano. Irreplaceable in the kitchen, it is universally known as the "King of cheeses".
