advertised as digital scanner but it is ANALOG only. Will not work with police frequency in this areaas they are all digital. I tried for six months to make this work, finally talked to a radio technicianwho told me the truth. Wish I could send it back but too late now. Never believe what's printed.

Great base unit scanner!!!!
I bought this scanner to replace my bct15x for future proof for nxdn railroad switch works like a charm easy to program got it set up and running in less than 15mins all these negative reviews are because people do not know how to read "fine print" and know what this unit is for frequency wise.This scanner been working fantastic for me and also planning on upgrading my handheld to uniden 160dn.

So this is a good scanner only issue I see is programming it by computer finding software that works, the software through the company that is stated works for this scanner dose not all others you have to buy the software that I do not like this company needs to get their act together and make the software at no charge for the price of the unit
