Returning to table tennis after a gap of 50 years (!), I was looking for something cheap but which had a bit a of playing quality. I struck it lucky with the Pro-spin and have played with one of these for 2 years - until my grandson decided to leave the bat in the garden in 30+ degrees. The rubber bubbled and lifted - not the bat's fault - its not designed for that! So, I bought another and that too has been brilliant. I stripped the rubbers from the old bat and bought some faster and spinnier ones which I glued on myself and these have enabled my game to develop. Its relatively easy to do this and you can buy some pretty good rubbers for £15-20 each. I should add that I have bought a couple of other more expensive bats and have been disappointed either because they didn't do what I had hoped or because my game wasn't good enough. The Pro-spin blade is light and relatively fast because of the carbon fibre and I am hoping that I will change the rubbers as an when I need, so that my game can improve over time.

I’m no expert but we have just bought a proper table after having fun on holiday. These are a massive upgrade; they are unrecognisable in their performance compared to the cheap ones. So much more power it is quite shocking, and the ability to put spin on the ball goes through the roof. Nice heft in the hand, great feeling of quality. And a nice cover. I feel like I’ve added a tonne of performance for very little money, and we are starting to play much better now.

Okay so I've actually bought this paddle twice before. Now the only reason I bought it twice is because the first time I broke it out of emotion. But, when I got back into playing, I looked at paddles and ended up coming back to this one because it is a great paddle for the price. The build and quality are pretty sturdy. The handle is comfortable and relatively ergonomical. I noticed that the wood is a little soft too so when you're holding it or using it your hand doesn't cramp or get uncomfortable. The design is pretty nice. One thing about it is that it is very light. At least compared to most other paddles. Me personally that makes the experience better for me because it's a lot easier to move with the paddle and to use it. I will say that the rubber gets dirty pretty easy, But it can literally be solved by taking a washcloth or a paper towel putting hot water on it and just rubbing it down.
