Pins look great but would not go through one layer of wool material

These nickel plated steel Dritz "skirt" pins are three inches long, have a smooth, sharp point, fasten securely, and DO NOT RUST. So they are GREAT for a LOT MORE than just kilts or wrap around skirts! I use them to pin on my hat in windy weather (sometimes TWO at a time!) or when I'm gardening in the hot sun. I also use them for securing a shawl, or scarf, on my shoulder. Never have these pins marred the fabric, or come loose, PLUS, they LOOK GREAT! In fact, I sometimes get asked if the pin came with the shawl, or where did I get it? In decorating, I also use these Dritz pins to pin back casual window coverings, like curtains, or to lightly secure a throw on the back of the sofa. A really good value, these skirt pins have become a basic tool in our household! Recommended!(Pins are made in Malaysia. Because of their size, pins are not recommended for fine, or thin fabrics.)

These are excellent. We're using them to hold thick blankets together along the seams. They don't ruin the fabric, leave a hole, get snagged (they're polished smooth). We would prefer slightly larger - 4" or even 5" - but these are big enough to be secure without fear of popping open. Wish we'd found them sooner, they're perfect.

My grandson is in wrestling, and the way they "display" their success for other wrestlers to see is with safety pins on their gear bags. They get to add a safety pin for every match they win by "pinning" an opponent. Skirt pins are great for that purpose. We pinned the skirt pins to his bag and his match pins hang from them. Soon as these are full, will be ordering another set.

I use this pin with a mohair and angora sweater that I really do not want to cause any damage to. I have pinned and unpinned it over 20 times and it is reliably clean with the fabric, never causing a snag.

Exactly as described and expected. I wrapped and knotted yarn onto it for a closure to a topper sweater with no buttons. It turned out perfectly and works well. I keep it pinned through the loop on the back-of-neck tag so it's there whenever I need it but out of the way when I don't.

My daughter is needed to kilt pin further school skirts and this was exactly the right fit for our family.My daughters don’t have to worry about the skirts flying up, great purchase

They aren't quite as strong as others I already have but I can use them.

I gave the pin to my son he is a letter carrier and use them for is bag. He said the do great job.
