If You Were a Contraction (Word Fun)

My husband jumped the gun and tried to read this book before my daughter was introduced to contractions and she was lost. But after her introduction to contractions she wanted me to read it twice.Ok, her is a secret working moms, homeschools moms and dads. I love the educational videos on YouTube and my daughter ability to understand place values at age 4 was because of a video from “Homeschool Pop”I introduced contractions by watching the Contraction Rap on YouTube and “n’t” by the electric company on youtube. We watched the video several times, then went over them, did a few work papers and she understood.After that, we read this book and she loved it💕💕❣️❣️I contribute my daughter growing reading ability to “Hello Carrie” vowel team videos and “Phonics” from “Have Fun Teaching”Another hint, sing the “Contraction Rap” but change the contractions to match your lesson for the day. I used all the contractions that was in this book. Plus the n’t contractions. I added them to the song.I teach through music as much as possible if your children is 9 or younger. My daughter learned the 2, 3, 4, 5 & 10 times tables that way (all the way to 100). She learned the 2 multiplication table in one day. We are now learning to read the map of the US and I’m thinking up new songs and looking for ones already created.Enjoy Teaching🙂

I love the word fun series so we picked up the contraction book. I personally do not like contractions because they are so informal but kids still have to learn what they are = )
