Great purchase, works wonderfully on e-bike (with slight modification)
I just unboxed and assembled this today, followed by a 1 mile trip to the grocery store for a full haul. Great experience! Here's what you need to know.- Great construction. Very impressed by the quality of everything.- I'm towing with an Aventon Level 3 e-bike...the connector didn't fit, but I was able to use a Dremel tool to grind it out far enough. As someone else mentioned, you can order a model with a larger hole, but I was anxious to use it and didn't take much effort. Maybe 5 minutes of grinding.- As others have mentioned, it is not centered with the bike, but I found this to be a great advantage. You can hug the side of the road very tight without worry that the cart will hit the curb.- It pulls and controls GREAT! Very smooth, easy to turn. I had it going over 28 mph loaded and unloaded without any issue.- On the trip there with an empty box, I hit a large bump and the Velcro that holds the cover came undone very easily and the black box almost hopped out of the cart! The Velcro fasteners are not great. I'll likely replace with something more sturdy.- I converted to a push cart for grocery shopping and it was awesome. Can hold a TON of stuff. No bags necessary. Easy to convert, worked better than I'd hoped.- Converting back to pull cart was a little trickier, but very easy to do by removing the black plastic box first. Don't forget to remove the front wheel, though!- I had the same issue with the Velcro straps on the way home. Needs to have a synch strap with tighteners instead. I also think a better system when rain isn't an issue would be a bungee net with hooks. I plan to purchase one for this purpose.- When I got home I carried the box right to the kitchen for easy unpacking. Very convenient on a single trip!Overall, I have to go with 5 stars. While I can think of a number of slight modifications I may make for other uses, it came better than advertised and I'm extremely happy with this purchase!

exactly what I needed
This is the perfect solution for grocery shopping on my bike. I used to use Panniers but they were heavy and required planning to A) balance the load on the bike to keep it from tipping over on the kickstand and to make the bike easy to ride home B) you mentally have to calculate how much space you have each time you add an item to your cart. Many times I bought the amount of items THOUGHT would fit in my bags and realized that I had more stuff than I can carry home and have to MacGyver a solution to get home. This trailer is awesome, it is easy to pull and doesn't unbalance the bike. you have to be mindful of the turning radius, speed, and the distance between curbs and the trailer wheels. but you adapt to it quickly. Once you are at your destination you can de-couple the trailer and convert it into a shopping cart. Take it in the store with you and place what you need in the trailer...no anxiety on whether or not you are buying more than you can fit. Added bonus, you can scan everything in the cart, pay, and roll out. No need for bagging. When you get home you can wheel it right into the house and unload directly into your fridge. no making multiple unloading trips.some improvements that could be made...1. The coupling hitch that attaches to your bike has not way to lock in a fixed postition. I have a dog trailer for my bike and the hitch on that trailer has a tab that locks into the axle drop-outs and has detents to lock the hitch at the precise angle you need. This one doesn't. I simply bolts on and you have to tighten the axle bolts as much as you can and the friction holds it in place. the first time I used it after about 16 miles it worked itself loos enough to shift about 20 degrees and this caused my rear tire to rub on the trailer causing me to have to stop and retighten it. Hasn't happed again since that first time but the potential is there if you hit a hard enough bump, going too fast, or if you have a tire that is not true and wobbles a lot. vibrations from that tend to loosen the nuts on your axle which this hitch attaches to.2. The wheels have plastic Mag rims. My other trailer uses steel spokes which is a bit more safe and offers some redundancy if a failure occurs. For one, the spoked wheels on most trailers are pretty easy to source aftermarket so if you damage one you don't have to replace the whole trailer. the wheels on this trailer I've only ever seen on this trailer. Second, if you are riding home and bend or break a spoke you will surely still be able to make it home. If you crack the plastic mag then your hub has no support and you are dead in the water. So far I have had no indication that these wheels would ever fail in that way, but I've been around bikes enough to know if it is possible you better have a plan to deal with it. As a precaution I always store my trailer indoors in a climate controlled room since the biggest threat to plastic is exposure to UV light and extreme temperatures.despite those minor concerns I have had several trips to the grocery and hardware stores with this trailer and it is a pleasure to use. the trailer in itself is super handy but the fact that it converts into a shopping cart makes it next level.

Updated! High Quality-Smooth bearings with no wobble
I have owned several cargo trailers over the years. This trailer was impressive right out of the box. It was well packed in a heavy box. Easy to assemble (wheels and handle that quickly snap in, and reflectors). The handle to use this as a cart has a nice heavy foam grip.I had questions about the cover and front wheel before receiving-so I have included photos. The front wheel is actually better than what the Amazon picture showed. The tire is airless (front) and the rear tires air up. The cover is the same as some outdoor furniture covers and it has velcro straps that wrap around the horizontal steel bar that is part of the trailer body. It is good quality. The wheels turn super-smooth-best I have ever experienced in a trailer. No wobble and when using the front wheel for using as a push cart- you will be super impressed at the smoothness.I bought this to haul groceries and sometimes a dog.I am very happy with this purchase and recommend it highly.Update 4/11/2024I finally put the cart on my bike. It does NOT track in the center of the bike like all trailers I have owned. It tracks on the left side of the bike. Not sure if this will effect the functionality but certainly you should know this as the trailer will sit about six inches further into the roadway than any other trailer you could purchase. I think the manufacturer could fix this by redesigning the bends and length of the tow bar.
