A transformation
My last henna was about 4 months ago after years of no coloring – I have never done this often, it’s not a regular thing for me. I’ve read that it can be done again approx. every 4-6 weeks, but I’m not that brave. It was a dark brown henna in Jan. I wanted to try this one b/c this product produces a more typical henna color, so now my hair has more red in it this time around and it’s a lovely color. I used 1 of the 4 packets they give you, so it was thinly applied. My grays resulted in a lighter color, as expected, but I don’t have a lot of gray, the result is like a few redder highlights here and there, which I like. I only kept it on for 1 hr instead of the max 2 hrs they say. I’m glad I did this b/c my hair has some great varying tones and the fullness and texture is amazing. It had a transformation to the better and felt nourished, soft, and more uniform in color. This is chemical free, plant based, natural USDA organic henna and it’s a special product. There are 2 ingredients – the henna and aloe leaf powder. I love it. It's like a hair mask, with color, and it's easy to do. Clean up wasn’t a problem at all, everything wiped off well, from the sink, counter and anywhere on my skin (which was minimal). If you are ready for a change to red hair hues (differs for each person depending on their starting color), I highly recommend this henna.

High quality henna with moisturizing Aloe leaf extract
I have been using henna on my hair since I was a teenager. Initially I did it because I liked the color and I liked what it did for my fine, dull, and greasy hair. The henna dried it out a bit and made it thicker and shiny. Now in my 60s, I'm using henna mainly to cover my grays. But I still appreciate the volume and shine it brings to my hair, which is particularly noticeable right after a fresh henna application. I regularly get compliments about my hair from strangers on the street. This is good quality henna from India that also contains Aloe leaf powder. When mixed with lukewarm water, it has good dye release after about 4 hours, and for me a 1 hour application resulted in very good grey coverage. The Aloe leaf powder is a great addition that counteracts the drying effect of the henna. It has a noticeable moisturizing effect, and my scalp feels less itchy compared to a pure henna application.Since my hair grows pretty fast, I have to touch up my roots every 8-10 days. In order to make the process more efficient, I usually make a big batch of henna, let it sit until it releases most of its dye, and then freeze it in ice cube trays. Two defrosted ice cubes are enough for a quick root touch up.
