Garmin (slim) Vivosmart 3 with HR monitor
Easy to use, and highly customizable.I love the raise to illuminate. That works beautifully. Clear crisp display, hardly know that you are wearing it, and the app is really beautifully designed, well thought out, clear and concise and really appealing.I have used an ifit bs d fir the last 2.5years.Coming from that and their app to Garmin, was like walking into a moist garden from a dessert! Garmin just does it right! If you are thinking of a great tracker you won’t go wrong if you stick to the big names,,,,,Garmin, Fitbit, etcetera!Enjoy! Remember there are great deals out there but,,,,,,,always remember,,”you do get what you pay for”!

Vivosmart 3 - Inconvenient Quirks
The vivosmart 3 is comfortable, has an attractive minimalist design, & tracks simple statistics as advertised. I rate it so low however, because even for the relatively affordable (to other smart watches; $40 at the time of my purchase) price, it does not function well as a watch. The watch face is not on all of the time, which I knew and was hesitant about when buying this, but it is designed to light the watch face by detecting gestures ..or so it is supposed to. It takes multiple “lifts” or “flicks” of my wrist trying to get the watch face to light after it does not with a natural gesture to check my watch. More frustrating is that touching the watch face ia not responsive either- so even if I instead tap the screen, intending to light the display, it takes multiple times, and often a return to trying to flick my wrist to get the display to come on. This is inconvenient during runs, or anything active where I want to check the time or my heartrate quickly and return to what I am doing. I work in a first responder career field, and so this is that much more underwhelming when I have to devote my attention to a dysfunctional watch. I bought this device primarily as a watch, what it is marketed as first and foremost - a watch - but it does not serve well here. The touch controls are clumsy if I want to use any of the menus. Without fail I end up unintentionally going back to the previous screens, selecting into an option I did not want, or most often, simply deciding not to use the screen to access features because of these consistent inconveniences.Overall, I had high expectations for Garmin. This is my first watch purchase from Garmin, however, I am familiar with the high quality avionics/GPS systems/devices they provide & expected they likely held that same reputation in watches. I acknowledge that this is a far far more budget friendly device than those high end electronics, but I expect the device to work. I hoped that the technology fit the Garmin reputation I knew. Unfortunately, I think this product sells itself on the Garmin name, and fails to live up to its own standards (outside of watches; as I said I have tried no other watches from Garmin, and still expect they might be awesome devices).

Great inexpensive way to track your health.
I know the in thing is to have a Fit-bit but I was not sure I wanted to expend the cash on something I may just put in a desk. The app that you use with it works great and your data can be also sync'd with the web for detail analysis. It is also connectable to many Health Portals that companies are using to get you a discount on your health care which drove me to get one. The idea that it was refurbished scared me somewhat because how do you refurbished something that small but have had no issues with it.

Garmin
Purchased a "renewed" Vivosmart 3. Unfortunately the illumination of the face is not very bright. Unlike a regular unit.

Fitness tracker
I like the device in general but the screen is very dim. I have it turned to the maximum brightness but I still can’t read it when I’m outside.

Unit staying charged
This Garmin isn’t staying charged very long. Charged this unit last night when I set this up and it needs charged again, it’s not dead but definitely pretty low. I understand it’s a refurbished unit but we have another one that’s probably 5 years old and last several days. Any kind of warranty with this, I honestly do not remember. Thank you so much for your time

Amazing deal
I need HR monitor and steps for my works fitness program but didn't want to spend too much on it. This refurbished Garmin was EXACTLY what i need and more! It even measures my sleep cycles and stress levels. It helped me feel more confident in this purchase that they offer a 3 year warranty for $3. Only thing that bugs me is I have a hard time telling when its about to run out of battery. It does have a pretty long battery life though from what I can tell. Its just weird they don't have a little battery meter on the interface or app anywhere? But other than that I am very impressed with this!

Changed From 5 Star to One
The media could not be loaded. Comfort etc is fine but doesn't do any good when the band breaks after only 5 months. Very disappointed.
