Initial Impressions
Sound quality is not as amazing as the reviews would lead you to believe but still pretty good for the price. They have a good low bass/sub-woofer but mid range bass is a bit weak. That's to be expected for small speakers. They can get LOUD for neck band speaker. They are loud enough that you can use them as a mini speaker on the beach blanket or a poolside lounge chair. I have to resist the temptation to raise the volume too much while I am wearing them on my bike ride, or I am going to damage my hearing. The fit is just a tiny bit tight for someone like me with a fat neck (18" collar), but not too bad. They are not rigid. The bendy part is sort of a rubbery flexible silicone so I think I can get used to it.The description says "touch controls" but they are tactile buttons with a slight click. That's good. I hate touch controls on headphone and earbud type devices. I think I can more easily feel and press the right buttons to pause music, skip tracks and control volume even with gloves on. I got these to replace my old Oraolo Go neckband with a borked mini-usb charging jack, and I am sort of glad they broke. These are better. I will report back if there is anything negative to relay but so far I'm happy.Another plus: They can be used while being charged. A lot of headsets will not allow that.

My New Favorite Thing
Wow! The perfect "personal space" speakers. They paired up instantly in Windows. I was shocked at how loud and full these are right out of the box. Flexible and soft black silicon band wraps around your neck. The speakers line up with your ears. Stereo separation is pronounced and speaker tones are clear. Very comfortable. These would be perfect in dozens of different home and workplace situations. Best purchase I've made in a long time!**UPDATE: It didn't take long to put these through most audio scenarios I encounter on a daily basis. Color me impressed. These speakers have some umph! driving them! Music with deep bass will rattle your chest and/or clavicle area even without high volume. Speaking of which, while playing Alice in Chains (Jar of Flies) I cranked up the volume, just to see how they would respond. I never hit the high end, because it was beyond too loud, yet NOT distorted. Not even a little. They won't replace a good pair of over-the-ear headphones, but they offer amazing sound for music, TV, movies, and games. No latency issues that I noticed, even when sitting 20 feet away. Hours of use and I barely notice they are around my neck. This is one of those crazy gems you only find once in a long while. I'm going to buy another pair for my brother. Amazing value.PS - The 3D spatial effect you get with this product is amazing. It's the same concept as with headphones, where the shared center channel seems to be coming from the middle of your head. Because these speakers sit on your collar bones, this same 3D effect makes that center channel seem to come from right in front of your face. It's wild.PPS - The "manual" hints at microphone function, but that's all. So I paired it with my phone (Android) -- in seconds -- to discover yes, it does have a built-in microphone that works really well. Bonus!

Very good product for tv viewing
I purchase 3 different products for my elderly mother. This was by far the best one and the one she kept. It's simple to operate, and despite other feedback that I am reading here, the bass was perfectly fine.It could be that her TV allowed us to assign a preset sound profile and that definitely made a difference! The only thing this one doesn't do compared to the others is when paired to a phone, it can only play sounds, it can't make or receive calls. That's ok with us tho, we didn't buy it for that, but you might.

Works great; long battery (so far)
This is great. My dad lives with is and is old. His TV volume is LOUD. He doesn't love headphones... This easily connects to our Amazon Firestick and transports him into his own sound silo. He says he can hear better, and we can hardly hear his TV at all. The only disadvantage is that pairing disables the sound feed from the TV completely. We've found a product like this one can allow him to control an audio stream while still broadcasting out of the TV at a reasonable level: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B3MH1ZTB

Great range and sound quality
Got this for my child so the tv doesn't have to be on full volume while he moves away from the TV. Great for watching TV and having the sound close to you whole not being so loud. It's sturdy my son hasn't been able to break it yet lol. It has good range and decent sound quality. The battery lasts long and it has usb c charging.

not better than Monster Boomerang - lacked bass
I had a Monster Boomerang neck speaker that I used every day for over a year but blew out the subwoofer, so I bought this Homespot JY508 to try as a replacement since it's cheaper. I could tell right away that this Homespot did not have as good of sound quality as the Monster, especially when it came to the bass response (also mids and highs didn't sound as good to me either). I use a neck speaker while riding my electric vehicles (EUC, onewheel, ebike) and listen to Dance/EDM breakbeat or drum and bass music and this Homespot neck speaker just wasn't doing that type of music any justice. The Homespot did have clear sound and might be good for TV or video games. The Homespot also got louder than the Monster, but louder isn't better when the sound quality isn't there. In fact, my Monster neck speaker with the busted subwoofer still sounded better than this cheaper Homespot neck speaker. I'm sure this Homespot speaker may be great for some people with certain uses, but it wasn't what I was looking for and I returned it immediately

Great for an option to wearing headphones!
I absolutely love this neckband bluetooth speaker! The sound is amazingly clear and loud enough to enjoy listening to your music while you move about, or while lying down and relaxing. I highly recommend it for others who are looking for an option to wearing headphones.
