These things are absolutely incredible! I went from using TOZO T12s as my main Bluetooth earbuds for years not knowing there were far better & more suitable options. I'm a crazed audiophile who cares loads about sound quality, and SoundPEATS actually delivered! I was hesitant to buy this because at the time of writing this, Fakespot graded this as an "F", multiple people complained about there being tinny sound (most likely received defectives), multiple people have also complained about this being too heavy and weak when it comes to proper ear fit, multiple people have complained about the bass/low-end being too energetic & fatiguing, multiple people have complained about the sound quality being subpar at best, multiple people have complained about there being stuttering (apparently due to LDAC), and multiple people have complained about the treble lacking in shine. So me being a (ir)responsible adult, I decided to gamble on the idea that if all those horrible things were true, I'd just drop by my nearest Kohl's to return these things for my money back. Nope! These things actually DO NOT suck, and you honestly get more bang for your buck buying these earbuds. That's if you're here primarily interested on the sound quality of these things, I honestly couldn't care less about what the phone mic sounds like but after some quick tests I have to say, it sounds like an average earbud mic; not too bad but it's decent. Lack of noise cancellation isn't an issue either, I actually can't hear hardly much of anything outside of these earbuds. No stuttering either. Exceeded all of my expectations and erased all of my worries upon the first listen, and had me extremely hyped for every single song I played on the first day of me using these suckers. Hyped to the point where I almost felt like I couldn't breathe because of how genuinely ecstatic I was. These things did not miss yet! **PERSONALLY**, I have suffered zero fatigue. I can literally leave these things playing music in my ears all day on max volume, which I've already done multiple times. Probably isn't good for my hearing in the long run. Speaking of ear fit, these do not slip out with the default ear tips no matter how many times I shake my head, these don't move at all. Maybe I'm just lucky though, I do advise anyone to get a pack of ear tips from a third-party, as these only come with 3 sizes: Small, Default/Medium, and Large, which may not work out for someone, especially a person who has ears like Dumbo. I find the bass great and almost in-your-face, mids prominent, treble nicely defined, and the soundstage satisfyingly wide. Everything shares a really nice, fun balance with each other. The LDAC codec keeps things sounding pristine as ever no matter what song I'm playing off any set bitrate. If using these on mobile, I strongly advise for you to take advantage of the ABSOLUTELY FREE zero-charge no in-app purchases nor ads nor tracking "PeatsAudio" APP and maybe setup a custom EQ for yourself!! I personally use the Adaptive EQ (rarely because if I want to use it I typically have to enable it on the app every single restart of my phone, which I am too lazy to do any of that menial labor, so I just end up using factory settings, which sounds absolutely awesome). Super strong battery life for both the earbuds and the case. Somehow, these earbuds are actually better than my wired IEMs and all of the past earbuds & headphones I've used collectively. It's even gotten to the point where I lowkey replaced those wired IEMs too for PC use. By default, Windows 11 doesn't support LDAC since it's a proprietary codec owned by Sony for their headphones like the Sony XM4 for example. So by using dark magic (Alternative A2DP Driver for Windows), I was able to get LDAC up and running on my PC and then configured my Engine4's under that codec in Stereo mode, a sample rate of 96KHz, and 24-bit resolution. ^ If you're interested in LDAC functionality on Windows, I just made this review worth the read. :) Overall, great earbuds, I'm completely smitten by them. I highly recommend for anyone to buy this!

I am a bit of an audiophile, on a budget. My previous favorite bluetooth buds I've ever tried were the galaxy buds 2, using the "samsung scalable codec" on my galaxy S22, which is much better than SBC or AAC on android. These soundpeats engine4 absolutely blow them out of the water in every measure, the only drawback being the lack of active noise cancelling, but they passively block out sound better than the galaxy buds 2. The engine4 seals in my ear canals better, plus stay in the ears better than any other bluetooth earbuds I've used, despite being bigger and heavier. The shape is just cradled perfectly by my ears, I've found that if I rotate them into place they are absolutely solid for hours on end. The sound quality with LDAC and the dual dynamic drivers is absolutely mind blowing. These sound better than my wired audio technica M50X "studio reference" headphones. The sound stage is very wide, with deep, detailed bass and clean separation and definition of the entire range up to crisp treble, with no sibilance or harshness whatsoever. They also get way louder than any bluetooth earbuds I've used, I run them at about 60% volume and its comparable to my galaxy buds2 at around 80% volume. I found an android app called 'bluetooth codec changer" that will let you choose to default them to the 990KBPS "optimized for audio quality" LDAC setting, they seem to default to 660KBPS under the default "best effort" setting. With my other LDAC bluetooth receiver, I found that 990KBPS has intermittent dropouts, glitching and issues and the range is awful. With these engine4 at 990KBPS, I can walk from my office to my kitchen and they maintain the 990KBPS bitrate without issue, very impressive. They are as stable with LDAC as my galaxy buds 2 with the much lower bitrate samsung scalable codec. Also, they do support AAC, despite the specs listed by soundpeats. I have also found the advertised battery life is pretty accurate, I get 7-8 hours of use at 990KBPS and 60% volume. The charging case also holds maybe 2-3 charges. Phone calls sound pretty good, the mic recording quality is decent, not as good as the buds2 but clear enough to use them routinely on phone calls. I did a test recording to compare the two and theyre pretty close in mic recording quality. The latency with LDAC is higher than SBC for sure, but when I put them in game mode, the latency became imperceptible when using them on PC. There is a windows app called "alternative A2DP driver" that will let you use LDAC/APTX/AAC on windows 10, costs $6 but works great. With LDAC and game mode on, they work perfectly as a pc gaming headset. I have absolutely no complaints about these, they are amazing. I just hope the internal batteries hold up for a couple years. Update: I changed out the tips to spinfit CP100 plus, now they really stick into my ears perfectly and it improved the sound quality and isolation a bit. The medical grade silicone definitely grips better! Highly recommended improvement to these phenomenal earbuds. Update2: Soundpeats has a new app, called "peatsaudio". There is a newer firmware available from this app, vs. the old "soundpeats" app. Version 0.2.0 is available.

Although the sound and build quality are great, two thinks I really didn't like about the SoundPEATS Wireless Earbuds, Engine4 is they are a little difficult to pull out from their case. The ergonomic and sleek design make them difficult to 'grab' out of the case without any lip or solid spot to grip. Also the case doesn't 'sit upright' and the charging port is on the bottom (which is fine since it doesn't sit upright anyways.) Pros: Great sound quality when inserted properly. Long battery life. Compact recharging case. Cons: Hard to grab buds out of the case. Case has no flat surface to sit securely on the table without wobbling.

This review is based on the 10 days in which I owned the SoundPEATS Engine 4. Unfortunately, I had to send it back, as the Right-side bud was fully discharging in just 2 hours. I ordered a CMF Buds 2 Pro as replacement, which I've used for half a day, so far. It sounds great too! Below is my review of the Engine 4. CONS: Neither the buds nor the case send their Battery Levels to Android. The case has a light indicator, which gives you a rough idea of the situation (if you have it around you), but the buds don't have one. Without the App, you just don't know how much juice the earphones still have! I decided not to install the App, because it requires "Registration" and some Permissions to function....and that bothers me. PROS: Sound is really good!!! Good acoustic insulation too! To improve it further, I chose to intall foam eartips! Bluetooth Connection is stable and the buds fit well in the ears. Control via tapping works reliably. Summary: if you don't mind giving some info to the App, try out these buds! They are very good!

I have some weird shaped ears and it's hard for me to find buds that fit them comfortably. The Engine 4's look odd and uncomfortable, but, for me anyway, they fit very well. I have plenty of other wired and wireless sets of all types that generally leave something to be desired in terms of fit. They'll sit loose in my ears and need to be adjusted or reinserted often. The Engine 4's insert easily and stay put. They are not subtle, to be sure, and you won't be able to comfortably sleep in them, but if you're out walking or doing yardwork or at the gym, you won't be chasing them around from falling out of your ears. The sound is on another level for this price range (and a few others, to be honest). Expansive and detailed without sounding "thin" or losing presence. Easily EQ'd to your preference through the accompanying app or 3rd party EQ of your choice (I use PowerAmp). Make sure to enable the LDAC Codec if your phone (or whatever source you're using) provides it for the best experience. I'm not overly impressed with most of the buds I get, but these surprised me. As long as the fit is right for you, the sound will be there. This is an easy recommendation. My only gripe so far, being a fat fingered ape, is that the buds can be clumsy to get out of the case, but that's true of all bluetooth buds I've had. Initial pairing was easy enough and they connect reliably each time I use them. One thing to note: these connect when you open the case, not when they are removed from it, so be careful how you carry them. If they are getting jostled around in a pocket or bag and open up on you, you might not hear your phone ringing or get notification of a message. The case lid is pretty secure, though and it's unlikely to happen, but it did occur for me under an odd circumstance. Just something to be aware of. Controls are simple enough and become intuitive after a few uses. Can't comment on battery life yet as I don't use them for extended periods. A few hours at a time for me and they hold up fine. Neither can I give an opinion on their quality as an earpiece for conversation; I don't use them for that. My biggest concern is sound quality for music and these hit the mark for that.
