Simply the Best Socks I’ve Ever Owned
I didn’t think I could get excited about socks—until I tried Darn Tough. These things are on another level. The comfort is incredible right out of the package, with a snug, supportive fit that doesn’t bunch, slip, or stretch out, even after long days of wear. Whether I'm hiking, walking around town, or just lounging at home, they keep my feet dry, comfortable, and blister-free. The build quality is unmatched. You can feel the durability in the stitching and material, and they hold up wash after wash like they’re brand new. Bonus points for being made in the USA and backed by a lifetime guarantee—how often do you see that? Bottom line: Darn Tough socks live up to the name. Worth every penny, and I’m already planning to replace all my other socks with these. Total game changer.

Best Socks On The Planet
I’m a huge fan of Darn Tough socks and have been for years, owning about 15 pairs, mostly in black, with a mix of thicknesses for different needs. As a 6ft, 185lb guy, I wear these for gym workouts and hiking, and they never disappoint. The thinner pairs are perfect for intense, sweaty gym sessions or hot summer hikes, keeping my feet cool and dry thanks to the merino wool’s moisture-wicking magic. The thicker pairs are my go-to for walking around the house in winter—my floors get freezing, and these keep my feet cozy without overheating. One trick I love: after a gym session, I pop these socks in the freezer, and they stay fresh enough to reuse for the week before washing. The merino wool is naturally odor-resistant, so they hold up amazingly well. Speaking of durability, these socks are built to last, but if you ever get a hole (like in the heel), Darn Tough’s lifetime guarantee is legit—just send them back for a free replacement pair. I’ve taken advantage of this a few times, and their customer service is top-notch. This particular pair caught my eye because of the unique color combo, which adds a fun pop to my mostly black collection. They’re on the thicker side, making them ideal for cooler weather hikes or chilly days at home. Compared to cotton socks, the merino wool feels softer, fits better in my shoes, and prevents blisters like no other. If you’re looking for versatile, durable socks that perform in the gym, on the trail, or around the house, these are worth every penny. Highly recommend sticking with Darn Tough for quality you can trust

Best socks around
I’ve bought several pairs of these socks in various color schemes over the past 2+ years and all except for 1 set were perfect. The one less than perfect pair had a small 1/4 inch cut in the side (looks like it was from a razor blade probably done is shipping), but I ended up keeping the pair and they still lasted to 2 years. All the other socks are showing signs of use but are still plenty good at over 2 years, and they still feel like they have cushion. I’d say I probably average using a pair of socks around 1 time per week across the year—probably 2+ times in summer and slightly less than 1 times in winter per week. I have noticed that with age these socks do shrink slightly, but not nearly as much as the micro screw height ones do. The one hard part about these socks is the price, you can 6 pairs of plain cotton socks for the price of 1 Darn Tough pair. While I hate paying a ton of money for things that could be much cheaper, these socks like brand new socks for at least an entire year, versus just 1-2 months of the the cheap cotton varieties. The socks also employ a mixture of wool and spandex, and I’m not jumping on the merino wool hype here, just being legit….you can run in 100F with a near 100% humidity factor and your feel will still feel dry. Don’t get me wrong, you feet will be damp and you will notice moisture marks when walking on a hard floor after a run, but they won’t feel wet, and the dampness dries wears off in a matter of minutes with your shoes off. This doesn’t happen with the cheap cotton socks. Finally, I ended up doing a warranty claim with Darn Tough for that one bad pair and they did replace them for free, however I had to pay for the $4 in shipping the old socks to them. While the price of the socks is indeed high, your absolutely getting a premium sock that warrants that price and I figure that as long as a pair lasts at least 2 years before doing a warranty replacement they end up being cheaper in the long run versus the cotton cheapies.

My new go to socks
These socks are very comfortable, snug, and breathable. They don’t slide around when I’m wearing them- super functional. The rim of the sock is thicker so it doesn’t slip into my shoes when I wear them. I really like the compression that it has on the arch. Very high quality. Really enjoy them. Worth the price in my opinion. These are my go to socks now.

Great pair of running socks, better than similar brands.
Darn tough makes the best socks I wore in the military and I wish I got these for the PFTs before I got out. They are super comfortable, support well, and don't smell like ass when I take them off. It wicks the sweat away and doesn't trap moisture around my toes. I found them to be sized properly and mediums stretched to fit my 9.5 quite well despite looking too small when I first got them. All the coloring is nice and doesn't fade.

Darn Tough Socks
I adore these socks, and specifically his orange "sunburst" colorway. I call them my lucky socks even though I have 3 pairs of them. In my experience, Darn Tough socks hold up well over time and have proven extremely durable after dozens of wears. They can be a bit pricey, so I try to pick them up on sale as often as possible. They're my favorite merino wool socks after trying many brands (Point6 are a close second). These are extremely comfortable even with barefoot shoes providing good cushion. They fit my large, wide feet well.

Bette than average socks for durability
Good tough socks, unfortunately my dog loves biting my socks so that is the only reason they get holes now. At least the socks can survive my daily wear which regular brands can’t. Well made and comfortable. I will probably buy these again

I love the padding around the heel and the toes - just enough and not too bulky. They look great too. I use them for hiking and trail running.
