I’m very impressed with this purchase. The setup was easy and honestly pretty self-explanatory. I didn’t even need to read the instructions, though I’d still recommend giving them a quick look just to be safe. This is technically my first train set. I always wanted one as a kid but never had the chance. Now, as an adult, I finally have one and it’s absolutely worth the wait. It’s something I’m genuinely proud to show off when company comes over. The setup is simple yet elegant. It’s not overly flashy, but it definitely draws the right kind of attention. There’s something about it that instantly creates a sense of wonder and turns the room into a conversation piece. I set it up in my basement, aka the man-cave, and it fits perfectly. It adds character, nostalgia, and a little bit of magic to the space. Highly recommended.

Long ago I got over the fact that these Lionel Trains are no longer manufactured in America, maybe that will change in the future. Presently, though imported, the quality of Lionel Trains has seen improvements of late. As a long time collector of Lionel, both Post-War and Modern Era, this Santa Fe set is a beautiful addition to my collection. The set arrived in great shape albeit loose in an oversized box, and it was easily unpacked and set up within 15 minutes. Outside of a few couplers on the passenger cars having been shaken loose from a long journey, they were easily popped back into place and the train runs great. Good sound, good control, and very smooth running along the FasTrack of my layout. The price, below MRP, was a bargain and I look forward to proudly running this train. Right off the bat I was very impressed with the packaging of this train. This is my first train set so I don’t have the experience of a seasoned train enthusiast. How ever I believe the quality to be very good and the Bluetooth app is easy to use. Perfect for around the Christmas tree, which is the reason I bought it. Overall, I am very impressed with the string set. Time Will tell on long-term quality.

I am 65 and I am really enjoying this train and my other ones. It makes my entire set up come to life.

everything worked but lights out on 1st coach out the box...was a lil disappointing

Yes it looks fabulous and runs beautifully, BUTTTTT, this thing is built cheap from inside, so far all of the light connection had to be re-soldered and mind you, only one adult has handled it with a lot of care but due to few derailments or may be just by running, the cables that run the lights in the coaches have all broken at least once, and i had to literally solder it with additional wires installed.
