No wait time for expansion out of the box, great for breaking up a room echo but I dont believe it offers "sound proofing".The backside sticky surface works well and can be removed without damage or leaving behind a residue. Safe for renters.

The purpose buying these pannels was to minimize the noises from my new neighbors. I work mornings and they do on 2nd shifts. They recently moved in and messed up my sleep time. These pannles have helped somewhat lowering the echo and the reverberation but these are not soundproof. I have to point out that the walls of my apartment are thin and it is a big downside. However, I would purchase these again for my living room. I do believe these are gonna work great with my soundbar.The adhesive on these pannels is great. Just make sure where to put each one before you stick them. Once you put one, it is hard to remove.

Great padding for sound proofing

I like the design and they came with self adhesive stickers on the back of the panels. I stuck these behind my podcast desk to assist with reducing reverb. These panels aren’t used to keep sound out of the room but they help keep my audio sounding crisp and more professional which I am happy with.

I've used these types of panels all over my house. They really help to lessen outside noise. These ones are stick well and cover a nice amount of area. This pack went behind my bed made a big difference.

I wanted to dampen the sound of my laundry room since it's next to my office and since the walls are bare a lot of the noise was to bounce around. This was 12 piece of dense foam with a felt like touch to it. I was able to line up the door completely with the pieces (it still required some cutting to do) but it helped a lot. I just measured everything out on the floor, drew the cuts, cut it, peeled the back, and then stuck it directly onto the door! I can't hear the machines as clearly as I did, it's more of a muffled sound (esp with the laundry is done it plays a little tune).This won't block the noise completely but it definitely damped it for me!!
