Very decent inexpensive strings for students, folk players etc. stable- stay in tune 😊 . Well worth buying to improve the sound of a student violin and 1/2 the price of the cheapest ‘good’ strings.

this is astonishingly good value. If you are thinking of converting one of your violins to a viola by moving across the G D and A strings and putting a C string in then this is the thing to buy. That is what I did and it sounds really good. Much better than i expected or was led to believe by forums on the net. And it was easy to do without cutting new grooves in the nut or bridge. These strings went on a1/4 size violin. There is usually a problem getting the wider strings into the adjusters but I was able to widen the C string adjuster just enough to ease the ball in. I cut about 3” from the top of the strings to get everything in the peg box. The playing sound and feel is surprisingly good; delighted to find a good string for the small viola. Thank heavens for modern string technology.

A string broke at the black area while fitting. Nowhere near the nut. Returning as defective.

String snapped on first use. Disappointing.
