Is this flimsy plastic?

It has impact resistance. But if you firmly attempt to bend you will be able to fold the the plastic to crease it. Its quite tough and we do not get any complaints. You cannot just take the tube between two fingers and easily crush it - the walls have some thickness to them. Hope this helps

Can alcohol nips fit in them?

The mini alcohol bottles are wider in diameter than the tubes.

Is it 10 inches with the red part or is the clear tube part 10 inches?

There's exactly 10" of space to fill inside the clear tube. There's actually another 1/2" of clear tube, but that's where the red part plugs into it so not able to fill that last 1/2" with anything.
