We were in search of a cup with as little plastic as possible that would actually work for a 1 year old to use. These have been great. So many other stainless steel or metal cups still have plastic handles or plastic surrounding the body of the cup. I appreciate that this one does not. There is of course plastic on the lid, but whatever. You do as much as you can. One component that drew me to this cup was that the straw is stainless steel instead of plastic or silicone. The cups barely leak when tipped over. I’ve shared a photo of the cup almost upside down in our sink. You can see only a very small amount of drops are coming out. There is silicone for the tip of the straw, but cleaning with Castile soap Somewhat regularly has helped us avoid mold growth on the inside of the straw, as well as the soapy taste left from washing silicone in the dishwasher. I would prefer plastic free, but concede that the silicone tip is safer for young children drinking from the straw, and majority of the liquid is still coming through the metal straw. Our dogs got one of the cups while we were gone, and while chewing on the silicone tip, they clamped the tip of the straw down. It looks like we will be able to reform the straw to be functional, but in the meantime, we were pleased to find that one of our own metal straws was able to fit in the lid. Our straws are much smaller then the one that comes with the cup (standard straw size), but the seal around the straw is still very good and does not really leak. The cups also come with a handy attachment for traveling where you can seal off the liquid completely. These also work fantastic with no leaks. Overall an impressive product for adult adults or children.

I am not exaggerating when I say these are the best kids straw cups available! They are DURABLE!!! I have had mine for 2 years and they are in perfect condition and used daily with my 3 and 5 year olds. Often for us, my kids chew the soft silicone straws down long before the cup has needs replaced. But the beauty of this product is that you can replace the silicone straw covers as often as needed! And they sell packs of the silicone straw tips separately and in all the colors so you can purchase and replace as often as needed! They are not leak proof but definitely leak resistant. I love that they come with a thermos lid so you could pack cold fruit cups or hot soups in your child's lunch. I honestly could go on! Such an amazing kids product that lasts!

These straw cups are of excellent quality. The colors are really pretty as well. We travel a lot with our toddler and this has really been helpful. I can pack smoothies or warm milk in it and use the thermos lid to keep them warm or cool. It is spill proof with the thermos lid. With the straw insert, the liquid is gonna spill if your toddler decides to shake it wildly or pull the straw out and then turn it upside down. It could have been prevented if the straw had a stopper. That is the only downside to this product. I am still giving 5 stars because I really love the product quality and design. I got silicone straws with stoppers from elk and friends and it works well with this product and makes it pretty spill proof as well. The cleaning is super easy compared to the weighted straw cups where you have to clean a 100 different parts. I wish I made the switch earlier.

The cups are so cute, very well made - stylish too! However, they are a bit heavy and may be a bit much for younger toddlers or those that are still in that 'throwing' phase! Even a three or four year old is constantly dropping things, so I wonder how the cups will look after a few months. The cups do leak with the straw inserted, they only appear to be leak-proof with the vacuum-insulted tops. Overall, versatile and recommended. The cups do well with drinks or used to maintain the temperature of snacks.

These are really nice and spacious cups and fit the hands of children very well. But since these are kids cups I can’t understand why they didn’t put a stopped on the straw. My kids don’t do anything but pull the straw out and there’s no way to stop them from doing that. I like the cups but since they aren’t functional in a way that my kids aren’t being messy the price is too much. I love the metal straw and the grip on the end of the straw but I need a way to stop them from taking the straw out.

These cups appear to be everything you want - stainless steel and silicone. BUT, the straw is stainless steel with a silicone overlay that breaks because of the hard edges of the stainless steel so easily. You get one replacement silicone piece for each straw but once those break you are out of luck. I am so disappointed bc the cups are useless now that I can’t use the straws anymore.

Great product for quick breakfast during school days. The support team is very helpful and always willing to address any concerns.

The silicone cover on the straw got cut within a week.
