It does in fact, work.
SO... I bought this a few years ago (the pandemic) thinking I would have time to live my life a little. I have been wanting to hatch chickens for a long time and I wanted to build a garden and have them be a part of that. That didn't happen. Instead, what ended up happening was me having to work from 5:15 am to 8:15 pm at least 6 days a week JUST TO SURVIVE. Yeah, I am a tad bitter about that. Anyways, FLASH-FORWARD to 2025. I have a slightly better work life balance nowadays. I had purchased a carton of farm fresh eggs from a local neighbor/farm near by to eat. One night, I am in my office and I see the incubator sitting in the box by the corner of my desk. Images from people hatching "store bought" eggs on TikTok videos are starting to surface in my thoughts, along with the eggs I had just purchased and then suddenly I am up out of the chair and grabbing the bag. I KNEW what I was going to do. I took six eggs out of the carton and followed the instructions. I wasn't sure what was going to happen. I wasn't sure how old the eggs were or if the incubator would still work after sitting in my office unused for so long either. This also happened to be the same year the heat decided to "malfunction" on the same floor I set up the incubator so it was constantly 80+ on that floor. 18 days later I candle the eggs and think to myself "these look hard boiled. I hope I didn't cook them!" It was so freaking hot in that room all the time along with whatever temp it was in the incubator! I didn't know! I tell my daughter the story a day later and express my concerns that I probably screwed up and it didn't work. I decide to check again one last time thinking how bad could I hurt them if their already hard boiled, right? WELL, I shined the light into one egg and it chirped! checked the rest of them and we saw movement! I freaked right out "Holy crap! Holy crap!" Well, it totally worked. And now I have 5 chickens. One passed away while trying to hatch. I'll post a picture of my flock once I find where my phone is.

Eggcellent Incubator!!
Unfortunately, a hawk got my favorite hen. I decided to incubate the last brown eggs I had, some I knew were definitely hers and some I didn’t. I said “hopefully I’ll incubate 9, at least one will hatch, and maybe I’ll get lucky and it’ll be hers” 21 days later, all 9 eggs hatched! I couldn’t be happier!Super easy set up, easy instructions, and it comes with the egg cycle picture for each day. The only con was the candler didn’t work for us. I had to basically “hope” they were progressing. It could be because the light isn’t bright enough, it could be because I incubated all brown eggs and it was harder to tell? Either way, I left it to hope and it worked! I love how the automatic turner does it’s thing- so you don’t have to worry about it. You just keep an eye on the water bottle.Once the eggs hatch, the humidity will increase. I panicked, took bottle B out and used paper towels to soak up the water in the chamber. As each egg hatched I realized once the chick dries out, the humidity went back down.Overall, it was an excellent experience getting to watch all them hatch. I would 100 percent recommend!!

Amazing Little Incubator – Perfect for Beginners and Backyard Hobbyists!
I was a little nervous trying out an incubator for the first time, but this one exceeded my expectations! Right out of the box, it was easy to set up. The instructions were simple to follow, and I appreciated the clear digital display—it shows the temperature and humidity levels, which helped me feel more in control throughout the process. The automatic egg turner is a game changer! It turned the eggs consistently and gently, and I didn’t have to worry about forgetting. I set 12 chicken eggs, and 10 successfully hatched—an awesome result for a beginner! What I really liked:• Super quiet operation• Easy to clean• Transparent lid so my kids could watch the eggs hatch• Great size for a small backyard flockJust make sure to place it in a room without big temperature swings, and check the water reservoir daily to keep humidity levels stable. Overall, this incubator is well worth the money and has made hatching eggs a fun and successful experience for my family.Highly recommend this if you’re just getting into hatching or want something reliable without breaking the bank.

Love it!
Great little incubator. I only hatched 6 but they all hatched and are beautiful and healthy! If you read the instructions and use the way you’re supposed to it’s great! Only thing I did was raise the heat level by one degree at night because we keep it cold in our house at night. And when they were hatching I kept the humidity at about 70 and ended up removing one of the water bottles because every time a chick hatched the humidity levels would rise quickly and I didn’t want to risk drowning one of the others. My only recommendation would be to add more ventilation ports but overall a GREAT product. And much cheaper than the feed store.

Starter Incubator
Seems to work pretty good but the humidity control takes a bit of experimenting to get it to work correctly and you have to monitor it closely and add a little water to port B once in awhile to get the humidity back up. I checked with a separate temperature and hydrometer and humidity is actually lower inside than the meter built into the unit. Should still work well but will take a lot of monitoring to make sure.Edit: Do not trust the temperature and humidity on the unit itself, it is not accurate at all. Also, the 12 egg unit is not big enough for anything larger than a chicken egg. If you are hatching turkey, get the larger unit for 12 turkey eggs.EDIT: The 18 egg incubator does not maintain temperature well. It fluctuates greatly. I have tried it in several different locations and with the foam cover. It is still very hard to keep a steady temperature.
