We recently purchased a Winnebago Ekko RV on the Ford Transit chassis. It cane with a great back up camera but no rear view function.I purchased this camera to use as a rear view camera and hard wired a USB cord from inside the rear of the Rv to the external camera. The RV has a rooftop access that goes into rear bedroom where 12v outlet is in a cabinet.Super easy install.Did purchase the solar panel but wanted continuous power to camera.The magnetic attachment allows me to easily remove the camera when stored in freezing weather ( we live in the mountains of Idaho).Would buy again

Great camera. Crisp clear images but distance from monitor is an issue. If the antennas are beyond 20 feet apart the image will lag or freeze. Get an extension from the company and move the camera antenna closer to your tow vehicle. I'd also recommend the solar panel for charging the camera if it's not easily accessible when mounted. Save yourself from having to remember to charge the camera.

The camera actually works better than I thought it would! My rig is very long and it's transmitting about 75 ft that's more than it advertises for. Sometimes it will not pick itself up but 90% of the time it does. Picture quality and the hardware is of a good nature. I very much recommend this product. Also I need to tech support and I was able to email back and forth with Gigi. She went above and beyond helping me with setup and always responding back so I don't know whether she is in China or who knows where she is around the world it really doesn't matter she took good care of me and got me going. Very easy to install and connect although it doesn’t auto-start. It is great for connecting to my trailer and for use with pulling my trailer. The charge lasts much longer than I expected with the solar panel. I haven’t had any lag time but I only have a short trailer. I’m still impressed with how easy it is to connect but wish it would connect automatically. The magnet is very strong but make sure it is connected to a good flat surface. Overall as a temporary rear view camera for a trailer I can recommend.

We've purchased 5 backup cameras in the last couple years - we have a number of older cars and an RV and some new drivers in the household. This was the fastest and most versatile installation yet. The monitor -- clear and large -- installs like many others, although it was appreciated that the cigarette lighter plug has an additional outlet for a usb-driven accessory. More important, the camera (a little larger than others we've installed, but great flexibility for installation and most importantly it has months of battery life in the camera body) provides a sharp, clear picture wirelessly. There are many options for installing the camera - and there's an optional solar panel charger that we found very convenient - but we favored the magnetic mount (with a felt-like surface to avoid scratching the vehicle's paint). We tried (but didn't need) the auxiliary antenna setup -- but for installation in our motorhome (when it warms up a bit) I suspect we'll use the extra antenna to ensure a clear sharp picture from way back there, or even from our towed vehicle. A final potential use -- during offseason for us when we won't need our RV (or as an alternative use for others), we are considering using the camera and monitor to keep an eye on our outdoor bird houses -- the solar panel will easily keep the camera and its battery charged, and we can simply press a button on the monitor to activate the camera when we want to see what's going on. In all, great value and very high build quality - could be our favorite backup camera yet!

I will note this was purchased on February 20, 2024 so I have tested it thoroughly for almost 15 months.This thing is great and can be used in-between different vehicles and trailers when needed. The signal is great and very clear, the monitor is on the smaller side but still very clear image and good quality. It is a value for your money and I see they now come with an optional plate for aluminum campers which is good to know.The magnet is very strong but I was driving back from Turkey Run State Park last weekend back to home and I had to drive through Lagoda, Indiana which was a first. There is a only one set of train tracks and I was only going 15mph over them at the time but the truck and camper bucked like a bull in a rodeo. I told my kid we needed to check inside to make sure nothing was out of place inside the camper, and everything checked out.Unfortunately the camera had become un-magnetized from the back of my F-250 tailgate and was damaged.This is the only reason it gets a 3 out of 5 stars. The magnet is very strong but can come undone with big enough bump.Note: I would remove the camera from the vehicle if you plan on driving down the road. I would like to replace this as it is very handy.
