Won't work with typical protective cases
If you have any kind of protective case on your phone, I'd stay away from this. It won't fit over a relatively svelte Otter box Commuter case on an iPhone 8 plus, and it isn't even close. Amazon has other choices (slightly more expensive) that have adjustable side clips. These do not adjust. The suction cup mount is well made. The holder itself is lightweight plastic.

Galaxy s8 plus and s9 plus with a case on barely fit in this. The "claws" don't come out very far. These phones fit adequately in it without a case. They charge wirelessly without a case, but not with one on. With a case on the coils don't line up correctly. Me and my wife both have a couple of different cases for these phones and none of them fit. The thinnest case I have makes the phone to thick. A smaller phone would probably work just fine. Their fast charge isn't very fast compared to Samsung's fast wireless chargers.

Poor adhesive & charger is very slow
The first time I installed it on my dash, it fell off within an hour. The adhesion is very poor. The charge is very slow and if you use your phone for GPS it will not add any battery life to your phone but will maybe keep it from dying. I would highly recommend getting something other than this charger as it is definitely not worth the price.

Poor construction and never worked well. I can't leave less than one star or I would.

The charger dose not accept a phone in a case. With the function of the device I doubt it would charge a phone out of a case.
