Organic Acai Berry Powder by Food to Live

I use this as my base in smoothie bowls with banana and strawberries, with a protein powder, and it makes my home made smoothie bowls taste like a fancy store one. It smells amazing, it’s organic, it could be a bit cheaper, but I guess açaí is expensive, the quality is AMAZING, and the texture is a nice fine powder and blends up great!

Not all brands of acai powders are the same quality.. I know, because I've tried at least 15-20.I am still in search of a brand that is made from ONLY the pulp (no seeds included), but the flavor, color, and texture of this product makes it EASILY my favorite acai to buy online!Definitely very high quality, potent, effective, and I'll say again..the flavor is amazing!!I only hope the product will continue to be available from this company and will be of the same quality, because it's truly the best I have ever found!

Now I love a great acai bowl…I mean, who doesn’t, right? But I never tried to make them…UNTIL NOW! I ordered this acai berry powder and was a little discouraged when I opened the package. The powder was so dark that it almost resembled the color and texture of coffee grounds. However, I didn’t let that discourage me. I poured a small amount into my Ninja with a frozen banana and a little bit of coconut water and the color seemed to come alive. I tasted it, added a little more powder and a little more liquid and it came out good. I then poured it into a bowl and topped with fruit, unsweetened coconut flakes, goji berries and drizzled some peanut butter on top. I was in heaven!! It was just like the kind that I used to spend $10/bowl for. Not a ground dry powder like other fruit/vegetable powders they sell. Acai berry is more a pulp, and definitely a lot of moisture. Not dry at all.

I’m happy to have found a substitute for the frozen puree, as there is only one place I can buy it in Peoria, IL. (And it’s very expensive.) This looks, smells and tastes like acai. I used about a tablespoon in this morning’s semi-frozen smoothie, which seemed about right taste-wise. I think the powder is going to be much more convenient to use, as well as less expensive. I will purchase this again.

I used this product for different types of bowls.The powder is very similar to the frozen version. It is not as sweet but I find that is a benefit. I can control the ingredients to make the taste to my liking.

This is advertised as “açaí berry powder”, but that is not correct. It is actually pulp. I noticed only because when checking to see if a serving was 1 teaspoon or 1 Tablespoon (it’s supposed to be teaspoon), the package says 1 ounce! So this 4 oz package is only 4 servings? This is quite odd to me, as I’ve ordered açaí powder many times and usually 4 ounces is 30-40 servings. Not worth the price for whatever is in here
