Steamer fits most pots from 6-8 inches inches. The lid fits the All Clad 8” fry pans. (the pan measured edge to edge including the flared rim is exactly 8.5”) The lid is also 8.5” across.

I read that All-Clad was a top quality stainless steel that can do both normal and inductive stoves.. yeah. I went with it. Love the pan + steamer top which helps with most of my cooking (i buy frozen veggies which i read are safer/healthier/less risk and us these to prepare them- boiled but steamed especially). Size is versatile and can do most things with it- soup, chili, boiled/steamed veggies, ramen, sauces, etc. Nothing bad to say about it.
