I'm just learning how to use this product to scrub fabric in preparation for dying. Seems A-ok.

The texture of this alum is pretty coarse so I threw it in my coffee grinder to break it down. Then I sifted it through a mesh screen so it would just be the powder as some of it still didn’t break down in that go. Then I mix a rose hip essential oil infused water with the powder to make a paste that I blot into my face with a cotton ball. It would be nice if it came as a finely ground powder upfront. I can feel the tightening on my skin almost immediately after applying the paste and after washing the paste off 15-20 minutes later my skin texture is so smooth and bright. I would’ve given 5 stars except for the coarse texture of this alum.

I use this powder for my face. After I clean my face, I make a sort of paste with the Allum powder. It tightens my pores and makes my skin feel silky smooth

This is the 2nd time I bought this product. It works just as good as McCormick’s & it’s a lot cheaper. Only thing is that it is not as finely crushed as McCormick’s. You’ll have to stir it awhile to dissolve the little chunks.

A little alum mixed in water is a very handy addition to the medicine box. There is nothing like it to stop bleeding. I accidentally cut my leg and applied a swab saturated in alum water it stopped the bleeding immediately. You can try this test. If you add a drop of blood to the alum mixed water it coagulates immediately. That’s why the bleeding stops. I always keep this handy for emergencies
