I was skeptical but willing to try this as my next step was going to be steroids, and after a month I'm entirely satisfied. My eyelids are no longer irritated, my eyelashes have grown back in (they had almost completely fallen out on about half of my left eye, and my vision is clearer with less dryness and mucus blurring them in the evening. It hasn't caused any stinging even though I think I probably did get some in my eyes a few times, and I don't really smell anything with it. The texture is not foamy or soapy, it's more like a shaving gel, and the dispenser puts out a tiny little amount (which is plenty for both eyes) so it lasts a good long time. I'm using it twice a day for 30 seconds right on the eyelids and especially along the lashes, then moving to the surrounding areas (eyebrows, nose, cheeks) after finishing the eyelids. I do substitute the wipes sometimes if I'm away on a trip, if I needed to get to bed faster and didn't want to get my whole face wet again, or for an extra refresher if I'm around a lot of dust or pollen during the day, and recommend keeping them on hand. They are very convenient to have a few with me, and some extras at home. But I find this product to be more pleasant and to get the whole eyelid easier, and it's plenty convenient to use at home. It's the one I've found myself using most of the time. And it really does seem to have worked, my eyelids are better than they've been in at least 2 years. I will definitely be a regular customer.

This review is for the NOVEHA Demodex Extra Strength Eyelid Gel Cleanser. I bought it for my itchy eyebrows, itchy eye lashes, eye stye, and crusty eyes when I wake up. I cannot say enough about this product. While it isn’t a cure for my issues, it has helped tremendously while I await an appointment with the ophthalmologist. I suspect I have an over abundance of demodex mites due to improper hygiene habits. I have extremely dry, parched face skin. Yes, the kind that is so tight after washing with cleanser and water. Some days I was only using a cleanser that I would wipe off (not rinse) or just using water alone to cleanse. Then slather on moisturizer to soothe my face skin. This product is very gentle on my dry skin issues. Doesn’t sting the eyes when applied. I gently rub it around my eyelash lines and eyebrows then rinse off with water. Sometimes in the shower I let it just sit on my eyes/face for a few min while I wash the rest of myself. That’s how non stinging and non drying I have experienced this product to be. It has helped with the itching. And skin doesn’t feel dried out. In fact, it’s helped my skin around my eyes stay soft and hydrated without moisturizing as I’m trying to keep eye area clear of any buildup until I see doctor. I use this in conjunction the Noveha Demodex eyelid and lash wipes. I use the wipes in between day/night wash up if I get itchy and sometimes when I first wake up and the eye crud is so much I can barely open my eyes. My only issue is that the bottle has a label wrapped all the way around, and bottle isn’t transparent so you can’t see how much product is left. Otherwise, this product is well worth it. One squirt to wash each eyelid. Skin feels clean, soft, and refreshed.

UPDATE: WHAT HAPPENED?? I used up all the product so I bought a new one and as soon as I pumped it out and smelled it I knew it was different it barely has any tea tree oil scent and the consistency is different too! It doesn't work im getting the mites again and the rashes that come with that! I guess I'll have to switch to a new product. Why did they have to change it??!! This works so good, For demodex mites. The only thing is that because it's so strong it causes like little painful bumps on my eyelids since I have sensitive skin, it doesnt happen everyday but a few times a month I'll get them. I'll keep using it anyway since it does help with the mites. You need to use it day and night though.

They eyes attract many types of difficulties, from bacteria to dirt to oils and microscopic bugs. This product goes a long way towards reducing these problems. I combine with an anti-bacterial spray afterwards. I recommend letting the soap sit on your eyes for at least one minute before washing off. Also, do not neglect your eyebrows! All sorts of bugs can live in that protected area. These are microscopic bugs that live off of the human species. You may thing you have "dry eye" and the optometrist may recommend eye drops. But, these drops do not deal with the causal factors as described above. Give this eye cleanser a try and see if you have great improvement. I also place a few drops in around two ounces of filtered water and put on with a cotton swab pad and wash the lower eylelid very well. Be extremely careful and soft since the tissue is very very sensitive and easily hurt. This is a very good product. However, I will continue to search for various solutions, even though this is one of the best products I have found after many years of search. Best of Luck to you.

I like that this is a Gel type cleaner. It helps with my senior watery eyes. My eyes feel better after I use this cleaner.

Crusty Eyes? Itchy Eyebrows, Nose, Scalp or backs of your Ears? I had this & learned that it's caused by Demodex Mites. They live in our hair follicles & only come out when you're at your lowest in health. I wasn't eating right or getting enuf sleep. I was so stressed out, I was close to depression. Woke up in middle of night, scratching my eyebrows & the left side of the bridge of my nose. My eyes were crusted shut! After 2 nights of this, I remembered 2 friends who suffered from this before. Demodex. Ugh! Found many products on Amazon for this. Bought this one for the price & how soon it would arrive! Think the Tea Tree Oil & Salicylic Acid are the keys. This product works great! I gently rubbed a drop each wherever needed. Add a pat of water to make it suds up. No burning in my eyes. Feels like a face wash. Wiped off with warm wash cloth. It feels like it's drying out your skin. These Mites are contagious. Don't share items that have touched your face. This product works! Great value for the price! A drop or two is all you need for each application. After I eliminated them from my eyes & nose, I got them on my ears! This product is safe for all parts of your body. Know that you can't just use this product, tho. You Have to take charge of your stress, improve your eating habits & get some sleep. They're not completely gone & never will be, bcuz they're naturally in our skin already. They attack us when we're at our lowest. But it relieved & removed the itching & crusty eyes. Recommend you try this product! The bottle will last a long time, unless you need to use it on your body too. Thankfully, I only get them on my face & head.

I got this because my eyes get very dry and are irritated by a lot of cleansers. Sometimes I get dry skin around my eyes too. I don't have issues with demodex, but the insides of my eyelids are often red and inflamed. I also have issues with my tear ducts being clogged. This came up when I searched for cleansers for dry eyes, and the reviews were good, so I got it. It does clean the eye area well, and I don't have the issues with flaking or dry skin like with some cleansers, BUT I would say I have fairly sensitive eyes, and this BURNS. I'm sure it's the tea tree. I used to groom dogs, and when using tea tree shampoos, we would make sure to avoid the face area because it would cause irritation of their eyes. I guess I should known tea tree in the eye area would burn a human too. Personally, I don't think the burning is worth it.

This worked really well, it helped with my eye lids itching.
