Positive Insulated Battery Power Junction Post Block 3/8 Lug X 16 Thread (Red)

I used this to extend a ground wire to my inverter for a bus conversion. The quality is great. Don't over tighten it and be aware that stainless steel hardware is prone to galling and you'll be okay. I just threw some dielectric grease on the threads to help keep them lubricated when tightening it down and everything went perfect.

Smells like cheese so I ate it and now it works great!!!!

Item exactly as pictured. Very durable construction, and functions well. The threaded post is 1" long and 3/8" diameter. Distance between mounting holes is 1-3/8" (36mm). FWIW I deducted one star because IMO the post should be a little longer. Minus the nut, split-washer, and hot cable from battery, there is only sufficient thread left for 3-4 very thin lugs, or two thick copper ones. Manufacturer should take into account that for an accessory post this is insufficient.

These were perfect for my application where I was joining several 1/0 AWG, 3/8" cable lugs together in one spot. Joining grounded wires can be done with a bolt just about anywhere, but without this type of post it's really difficult to join several positive wires together in a way that is both physically strong and insulated electrically from the surface you're mounting to. Great price point too!

I used this to move a bunch of wires, both factory and added later, off my battery terminal to clean it up a bit. I connected it to the battery with a short piece of #2 battery cable, then connected all the accessory wired to this terminal. Now the only thing on the battery is the main cable, and the one I connected to this terminal. Much neater, and probably safer, and it will lessen corrosion issues.
