Amazing metal...lots of fun
This metal is so cool. The amount I received was more than I imagined(which is good) and its the perfect amount for if you want to just play with it. You can make fairly small shapes with it but if you want to make more complex bigger things, order more. It does leave a metallic gray residue on your skin but it washes off easily with soap and water. It will stain clothing and don't drop it on carpet because it is fairly difficult and messy to remove.

Cool item, looses novelty quickly
This is a cool novelty and a good conversation starter, but it gets old rather quickly. It takes awhile to melt in your hands. It also leaves a grey oxidized material on your havnds when you get done playing with it, but this washes off with soap and water. The metal is packaged as shown in a plastic vial with a screw top. The metal will not be able to be removed from the container in solid form, so metl it. I placed the vial in a glass of hot water for 30 minutes with the top on. I poured it into a small glass bowl (like you would put a side of dressing in) and let it refreeze. It was a little difficult to get it out, but tapping on the bottom of the glass finally got it free. Now I am not sure what I am going to do with it. The novelty is quickly wearing off, perhaps it is time to take it to work and put it on my desk...

Excellent product with slightly odd packaging
When it comes to the actual material, there's not much to say. It's gallium, and it's awesome. My only real complaint is the packaging. The gallium comes in a square plastic container with a smaller round hole at the top, and since the gallium always settles back into it's square shape when it cools, you physically can't take it of the container without liquifying it (which, while it isn't all that difficult, needs to be done carefully since you're dealing with a plastic container that can't be heated using say...a bunsen burner). Most chemistry enthusiasts probably have the right material for easy storage, but for a layperson like myself, it would have been nicer if the container was a) the same shape as the hole that you're supposed to remove the gallium from, and b) something that can be heated significantly without heat of meltingThis is a relatively minor quibble though. It's an excellent product and everyone should buy it. Playing with a liquid metal that WON'T kill you is very fun

very fun to play with
product arrived on time but it came in a hard plastic bottle which i had to cut to get it out.the easiest way to melt it is to put it into a ziplock bag and run it under hot water. once it is melted, it will slowly start forming crystals (oddly, starting in the center and growing to the sides) until it is completely cool. a quick way to cool it is to run it under cool water. as other reviewers have stated, GALLIUM WILL STAIN YOUR HANDS, TABLE, FLOOR, DISHES, OR ANYTHING ELSE YOU PUT IT ON. otherwise, it is a fun, nontoxic product, and for those who have never played with a liquid metal, a must-have.

Extremely interesting substance
Gallium is an amazing substance that has a very low melting point, so low that it could just melt in your hand. Gallium can be used in many ways, and if you could get the right price, buy it. I used a small sample of gallium to prank my buddies. I placed a small drop of gallium (in liquid form) on one of his cans of coke, and gave it back to him (unopened and unknowing of what I have just done) he put it in his refrigerator and after a couple of minutes, it exploded, I would recommend to anyone that gallium can bring you hours of enjoyment, just make sure its reliable and high grade (like the ones advertised here)
