This book is so funny and great! My 7 yo loved reading it!

Well written book with lots of repetitive vocabulary for better retention and crazy characters that hold your interest. Hard to use as a class for reading out loud because of its graphic novel format, but an enjoyable book.

If you want kids to pick up a Spanish book on their own to start reading for pleasure, this is the one. I'm a middle school teacher and La familia de Federico Rico is the most popular book by far in our classroom library. The footnotes, dictionary and over 100 illustrations, make this book very comprehensible and it attracts even the most reluctant readers.

My Spanish 1 students loved that I added this CI novel to my FVR library! Illustrations and humor galore in this book. Craig Klein's books will be a hit with your students, too!

This is a wonderfully written book. It is both funny and informative. I used it with my 6th grade students and they very much enjoyed it!

Excellent addition to my classroom library. What a fun book!

I read this book with my daughter. We had big laughs. Federico and his family get into hilarious situations. 🤣This is an illustrated novel with over 200 drawings. Wow! Imagine that! The illustrations are our favorite part because they truly make the language more comprehensible.
 The illustrations help students make sense of the text and find the meaning of the unknown words, making the reading less stressful and much more pleasant. 🥰On top of everything, this novella has a dictionary, footnotes, and cultural notes to help with comprehension. It was a joy to read ❤️
