In some ways, I prefer the flexibility of a gooseneck. But what I hate about that is there isn't any stability. This design isn't as flexible, but it is flexible enough to configure and much more stable. It will fit most any cup holder and can be positioned well enough to make this very useful. I use it with a dedicated GPS and the only downside for me is the power port is on the back so I have to mount it upside down. But that just proves it is a good design because it holds tight enough that even held without the base to support it the GPS is held securely. Yes, I would recommend it.

I'm on a quest to find the perfect cupholder phone mount....and this isn't it, at least for me. First, it suffers what most of these do in that it comes loose in the mechanism holding it in the cup. I used it about a week, and it wasn't bad, but I did have to tighten it a few times. Next, it's not stable. It doesn't go that deeply into the cupholder thanks to a lip around the tightening mechanism. The deal breaker for me is it HAS to lean forward. I have an F150 and the console cupholder is pretty close to me already. Having to lean the holding arm forward enough so the phone holder part can bend forward puts it too close for my comfort. This may not be an issue with other cars, but I just don't like it being that close for me. It also shakes...a lot! An F150 is anything but a smooth ride and the jiggles make the phone hard to focus on. I'll keep looking for the right fit for me.

I really like this phoneholder as it doesnt need to be mounted by a weak suction cup or be glued to the dashboard, it doesnt have to be applied to the windshield which causes an obstruction to the window and it doesnt need to be fixed to the air vent which in the winter I am always afraid will overheat my phone. You do lose a cupholder space but for me its not a big deal especially since my car has cupholders in all the doors. At first, I couldnt understand why it was so wobbly but then I read the instruction and realized you can adjust the base to tighten or loosen it depending on the size of your cupholder. So instructions do come in handy sometimes. At the moment, it is working pretty good and meets my needs, so I have no issues but for manual drivers, depending where your cupholders are positioned, this phone holder might get in the way of shifting so that is something to consider.

I've found that this phone holder retains its position well even on rougher country roads in my truck, which isn't the smoothest riding vehicle to begin with. I'm sure that some big bump somewhere down the line could dislodge it a little but if that happens it'll be easy enough to correct. It was simple to secure in the cup holder and adjust the neck to place the phone within handy sight and reach. In my opinion, it looks nice, has good functionality, and seems well-made.

This came in today. It is sturdy. My phone fits very securely. It goes right into the cup holder and leaves my hands free to drive in safety. I am happy with this product and cannot wait for our next lengthy road trip.

Very sturdy in the cup holder, but it doesn't work the best if you have a pop-socket on the back if your phone. It still seems to hold my phone because the lower tangs are elongated compared to other designs.Also, the articulation doesn't allow for it to bend away, which is a proble if you vehicle is a manual and the cup holder is near the shifter.
