Great Machine Heads
The tuners arrived what I thought were unmarked but after a second look under direct light they were marked but very lightly. These are great tuners, I have them on my Guild Aristocrat. I haven't installed them yet but I plan on putting them into an Ibanez RG42 Talon. They look like a direct drop in hopefully without need for the mounting plates but if not the mounting plates should work, even if I need to drill a few holes these machine heads are well worth the effort. I'd love to put these on my 12-String electric but the ratio may be off for the smaller higher octave strings.12/3/2020I installed these on the Ibanez mentioned above. They were direct drop ins. There was no need to use the mounting plates or do any drilling. All I needed was a wrench. In fact I was able to re-use my old strings. The only thing noticed was the low E string post seemed higher than the old one as the string angle from the nut was greater. I suspect that these tuners will direct replace any of the Schaller type with 2 mounting pins but I cant be certain.

Graph Tech Worth It For Quality
I purchased these for a quicker string change, plus not needing to lap the string for tuning stability. These fit my G&L ASAT Classic Bluesboy perfectly and didn't need the plates. They look the same as my OEM tuners and turn as smooth as silk.

Perfect fit for G&L S500
Install was easy - dropped just the tuner in there. It’s a noticeable improvement over the stock tuners.

Great quality, know You can buy plates to fit your specific guitar.
They tune very nicely and are very simple to install. They are made of quality material and feel very sturdy. Great looking packaging as well. The only thing I don’t like is the plates that come with it, while they work, don’t cover up the original tuners wholes. While most people would never notice them I can and it does mess with the aesthetics of your guitar a bit. I found out after the fact that you can buy plates for specific guitars for like $10 more. A little disappointed you would have to pay extra for them. But they are simple enough to install or uninstall that I can wait can always buy the correct plates later.

Inspect your order immediately
Graph Tech Ratio 6-In-Line Locking Tuners - NewReceived the box in the mail and handed it off to my local tech as part of several things I was having him do with my guitar. Turns out the "new" set of tuners had two of them (#2 and #4) from other tuning kits, one of which was non-locking. By the time I found out, it was too late to return them.Graph Tech is sending a replacement for one of them. Why not both? I don't know. You'd have to ask Graph Tech. Anyway, check your order thoroughly when you receive it. I skipped that step since I was handing it off and that was my mistake, I guess.

loose
they showed up loose in the box with no packing or cardboard sleeve. the top of the handles were rough with burrs on the srew heads. 3 is way too tight and 6 has a lot of play.

My first time changing tuning machines and it was a breeze
I’ve never changed tuning machines before and this was a breeze. Perfect fit, quick install and made a huge difference on my Squier Affinity MII Strat. String changes are quick, and tuning is way more precise than with the stock tuning machines. My guitar stays in tune way better.

Best Squier Stratocaster standard modification.
They were shipped the day I ordered them and they arrive within 2 days. They fit on my Fender Squier Stratocaster standard with no modifications needed no need to drill any holes whatsoever. They are not the staggered post but my guitar has string tree so it didn't matter. If it were the staggered post I still would have used them even with the string trees. Happy with the purchase.
