Don’t hesitate! Buy it!
The media could not be loaded. This thing is amazing! Definitely worth the money if you are deciding on getting one. I tried it for the first time with a 20v dewalt hammer drill and boy does this thing move!!! You do have to learn to navigate it when it goes full throttle.

Works as shown - Much stronger than I expected
I have a 14ft aluminum row boat and this was able to push me fast enough to beach the boat and walk straight out onto dry land, something I wasn't able to do using oars. Use caution in reverse, the pull at slow speeds can lure you into not holding on hard enough, just about yanked itself out of my hands .

Works great.
Works well but remember to get a dry box for your drill.

Doesn't Propell you
Did not propell me as shown in videos... This did not move us at all on our raft, we ended up hand paddling to shore. What a waste of money. :(

Really works!
I use this in my Cumberland float tube. The most important thing to factor into this is a good drill and batteries. I have a 20v Dewalt drill I use with the drill paddle. It came with 1.5AH batteries and you can get 15-20 mins use out of them. I bought 2 6AH batteries and with those I can use the drill paddle for hours. Just make sure not to use the drill constantly, it will ruin your drill, give the drill breaks to cool down. The Dewalt drill/2 1.5AH batteries and charger was $99. The 2 6AH batteries were $190 and the drill paddle was $50 when I bought it, so all together I’m into it $339. My justification was I can always use a nice drill/batteries for around the house. So to sum this up it’s a great buy but if you want to use the thing for more than 15-20 mins get bigger AH batteries.

Surprisingly useful
I was skeptical of this when I first got it but it’s surprisingly useful. Not good for consistent use but for getting from point a to point b or moving from spot to spot on a small fishing lake works great. I also have multiple drills and batteries I use for work including a 9 and 12 amp hour battery. It’s hard to steer in a kayak. The speed is that of a consistent paddle. I bought 2 to use in a canoe I have yet to try that. In a kayak it works well especially being light weight and sleek to stash away while not in use.
