Great Educational Tool for Younger Kids
I got this SimplyFun My Fun Day learning board. I home school, and intended to use this for our morning circle time. To be honest, we only used it the first day. It’s not that it’s lacking or is bad in any way, they just do better with a morning worksheet for calendar, day, date, season, and weather. Then we work on telling time in our math lessons and randomly throughout the day. I could see how this would be an excellent tool for younger kids, (mine are 4 and 9). The activity discs would be great for kids who need a visual to see what to expect for that day. Some kids need a visual schedule, and the discs could be used to list breakfast time, story time, bath time, etc. The quality of this board is great! The kids have a hard time moving some of the sliders on the board, but I wonder if that would loosen up with time. This is a learning tool that would work best with parent intervention. I don’t see too many kids that would just pick this up and play with it, besides when it’s brand new.

Fun but easily forgotten
I thought my kids would like this as they like doing a similar activity at school. They liked it for the first few days but since it's kind of been forgotten. I think it would work great for homeschooling.

GREAT TODDLER LEARNING BOARD
This game is so cute and perfect for my inquisitive toddler. I love the ease of use and engaging play for every morning fun. My toddler is excited to start the day guessing the day and the weather outside.

With a little tweaking, could be fantastic!!
I have come to the realization that this item is unfortunately not as useful a tool as I had originally hoped it was going to be. The concept is fabulous, but the execution of that idea wasn’t 100%.The construction of the piece seems solid and long-lasting thanks to the solid block of wood that the entire base of the piece is constructed from. However, it doesn’t take long to realize that every other piece on the base, is cheap and poorly made or done. The plastic pieces that “circle” the day of the month, day of the week, weather, etc. are either too difficult to move for my LO or they are too loose and don’t stay in place with the slightest breeze. The clock hands don’t work at all. We received the item with the clock hands attached so loosely that they just hang at the 6; moving them is easy (too much so) but they do not stay put once you have them where you want them. They just fall right back down to point to 6.I appreciate the concept and idea, but the execution needs some tweaking.

Well thought out activity board!
This is a great quality activity board! I really like the size for little hands. I did have a little trouble getting the sliders to move smoothly, but the clock does move very well and the hands hold where you put them. I really appreciate that this does more than just tell times and includes months/days, seasons, weather and even activity cards. It's a great intro into getting little ones to understand routine and schedule. The board is thick and sturdy and I feel will last through years of multiple children. Great educational product for the little ones!

Another educational favorite from SimplyFun!
I’ve found that SimplyFun makes very high quality early learning products that offer more than one way to play. For this calendar your child is introduced to: telling time, learning the date (month and day), day of the week, the season as well as the weather. You also get activity cards that are very durable- a highly vibrant, double sided card that shows activities or types of clothing you might wear. There is also a card with instructions on ways to use the calendar outside of charting the date, weather.. etc.My daughter is 5 but she is a little behind her peers due to developmental delays so we have been working at home on concepts that she will learn next year in kindergarten. She’s begun to read the numbers on the digital clock but had zero concept of what they meant. I figured I’d show her an “old fashioned clock” and explain how the different times of day help her predict what she will do. Rather than try to show her a clock and say at 6:00 we have dinner then expect her to get that I used the day/night time token (made of a thick, solid wood) and showed her some things happen at night while others during the day. We used the cards that show different activities for that and are slowly learning to say the time she does something based on the digital clock (our Alexa lol) and then I show her how to move the hands. We haven’t even dove into the seasons date or how the weather helps us choose our clothes! Some children can dive in and play with all the features of it immediately but we are learning one at a time and she LOVES IT. I really appreciate the way it’s easily used for daily life and how I can refer to it to reinforce what she’s learning! Great idea and so much better done than others I’ve used in the classroom AND with my older kids!
