love the double bracket!
It is a beautiful silver double bracket curtain rod. I had never used the double bracket curtain rod before and I love it. I can close the curtains if I need it in the evening so you cannot see through the sheer curtains without disturbing the sheer curtains underneath. It is a thick rod so it does not bow in the middle with a heavier curtain. It was easy to install on my own.

Perfect for light + privacy
I love the daylight from sheers but hated the lack of privacy at night since my neighbor's patio door looks directly into my kitchen. Double curtain rods were the perfect solution.I obsessed for a long time about this "cheap" $38 one (today's price is $47) vs the $100 crystal end ones. This Amazon basics rod doesn't look cheap and seems sturdy. I didn't even put the middle brace on and it seems fine. Although my curtains aren't heavy material.

UGLY brackets! Nice end caps.
The hanging brackets for this curtain rod are UGLY because of the obvious screws and the square cut bottom edge. See photo. For using with 2-panel curtains that open from the center — and if you do not have a window that is wider than 6 feet — they will probably be ok because you can cover the brackets with the outside edges of the curtain. For windows wider than 6 feet, however, it will probably be necessary to use the 3rd bracket in the center to prevent rod from sagging with the longer rod extension. In that case, the ugly center bracket will show when the curtains are open. For a patio door (6 ft wide max*) that typically slides open from one side vs the center, you’ll be drawing the curtain from one side. That means that the entire ugly hanging bracket will show on the open side. * I say 6 ft max because the rod sags if you go any wider & will especially sag with the extension rod added — and that’s before adding the weight of the curtain. Keep in mind that it’s not possible to use a supporting middle bracket when using a single panel curtain for a 1-way draw. Duh!In my photo, compare the satin nickel bracket, which came with the rod, to my old bronze one that looks nice even when the patio curtain is drawn open.I wish I had bought a rod with brackets that are decorative as well, however I wasn’t thinking about anything other than the desired style of the end caps. Maybe the description & photos didn’t even show the brackets. In order to avoid the ugliness, I will now have to spend more money to get a set of brackets that look nice.*** Edit: At first, I gave this curtain rod only 2 stars because of the ugly brackets. While searching Amazon for more attractive brackets later, I realized that the majority of available brackets have the same screw hole/bottom design (& I couldn’t find the ones in the photo that I bought a few years ago). So in all fairness, I changed the star rating to 4. The rest of it is good & the end caps are nice. ***

Light-weight
The rods are a bit light-weight, which concerned me but they do seem sturdy. The attachments at the end are VERY lightweight and seem hollow on the inside.Other than that, they are practical and functional, however not the “highest” of quality if you’re looking for a heavy set curtain rod.

Great Value!
So I was on a whim and decided to decorate my house with curtains overs my plantation shutters to give it more of a finished look. Initially, I looked at Lowes, Home Depot and Bed Bath beyond, the problem was any curtain double rod that extended over 100" was going to cost me 3X much more and standard delivery time..So because I have prime, I just took a risk and ordered 5 sets of these. They came in perfect condition, none were bent. I had my husband install them, it was simple each window took about 10 mins. As far as extending it over 100", 3 of my windows were about over 110", they have not sagged. I think the key is that you have to try to mount the screws into a stud, they don't say this in the instructions, but obviously, if you're going to extend these out they need a stud to keep them sturdy. My husband did all the work and he used longer screws he had in his tool kit. They have screws in the kit, but he said they weren't long enough. I think from reading the problems from other reviewers they probably should have used longer screws.Great price, great value and easy to assembly.

Quality rod that omits need for center rod support
The rod was installed over my wide patio window/door and easily supports 2 panels of insulated drapes without an inconvenient center support. Even with the weight of and the daily drawing of the drapes, the rod remains sturdy and doesn't bow. I highly recommend this easy to install rod especially as it effectively and aesthetically supports drapes that cover a wider patio door/window enclosure.

Great for my approx 110 inch window area!!
I was on the fence about this rod. My front window is 104 inches and a lot of the reviews complain about the rods buckling. I’m happy to say I have no issues. This rod assembled easily, is holding 4 thick curtains with no issues and looks good. For reference, I have it stretched out to about 115 inches but I’m really not sure it would go past 120 inches nicely. I think it would collapse. Hope this helps!!
