Very handy item. Both the drill and countersink are very sharp. Well made. The depth stop can leave marks if pushed too hard, hence lost a star!

Very disappointed with this product from festool totally over priced and produced very poor results on MDF.

The build quality is very goodThe design in terms of adjustment is lacking …I purchased this item to pre drill and counter sink into 9mm osb boardThe drill bit won’t shorten any further than 10mm… I believe the perimeters are between 10mm to 30mm …The drill bit is a unique to this counter sink because there is a side of the drill bit shamfered edge or part of the drill bit is flat so you grub screw it down to clamp.So pre drilling 10mm into a piece of work that is 9mm with 3.5mm diameter bit is not ideal for my purposes,Especially when using 3.5mm dia screws …Could of lived with a 4mm pre drill……It maybe just my requirements but having a drill bit designed only to fit this countersink tool has buggard me.The information is not available to find this out and with limited poor pictures!

Functionally a great tool, the drill bits, which seem to be made of very hard steel are replaceable, but unfortunately the countersink cutter part, that is much "softer" steel doesn't seem to be. I used it for countersinking into Fire Rated MDF, which it would seem blunts tools very quickly, so after perhaps 100 countersink cuts it now drills nicely, but then sort of sands and burns its way through the countersinking to the depth stop rather than cutting.With a £50 countersink, it would be good to be able to replace all the "consumable" parts not just the drillbits, perhaps I can, but I can't find the spare part.

The adjustable depth allows you to make accurate pilot holes and the collar doubles as a hold to get perpendicular holes.

Der Bohrsenker verrichtet seine Aufgabe sehr gut. Wir sind Küchenbauer und bei uns machen diese Werkzeuge tausende von Bohrungen. Der Verschleiß hält sich in Grenzen. Wir können das Produkt nur empfehlen. Es ist nicht billig aber sehr günstig ;-)

Festool quality is nothing but excellent in finish and operation. It will be a great addition to my drilling equipment.
