ElizaSoft Recovery Collar M/L (8 in)

Does what it needs to. Soft so when they run into walls it isn't as awful.
Worked very well for what we needed it for. It is soft and the dog was wearing it long term so that made it much easier for her to sleep in. Accidentally ordered it a bit larger, not thinking about the long term, because she had drains in her face and was very swollen. However once the swelling went down it was far too big for her. Even with a smaller size she would have tripped over it but that's just because she has short legs.I work in a vet clinic and specifically bought this brand because this is what we use in the clinic! I love it in the clinic and loved it at home.I will say I had another dog that needed a cone to basically live in and there is another brand that makes that is much like a pillow. That was a better option in that case. However, a dog wearing this cone short term- to even a few months this is definitely a great purchase.

Keeps my dog from licking her stitches
My Boxador tore her ACL in her knee and had to have surgery to repair it. They put her in this huge plastic cone, which drug on the ground whenever she walked and she literally bonked into everything with. I had to take it off when she wanted to eat or drink. This soft collar isn't as big but still keeps her away from the stitches, she can eat or drink as she will and she still bonk into things but I don't believe it is nearly as painful to her (or my legs!) as the hard collar cone was. I would definitely recommend getting this for your pet!

Worked For My Dog
This did work for the purpose needed for our dog, which was to deter him from constant licking of his groin area. It was more of a deterrent than a product that would 100% stop him. It made it harder for him to get to his groin, but because it is soft sided to be comfortable the downside to being comfortable is that it would bend. That said, he nearly flipped out when I put the hard sided cone on him that was given to me by my vet. This product was the perfect answer for him and us. It would give me a chance to verbally stop him from licking. He is a laid back dog, so this worked perfectly for him, and he wore it proudly like a Superman Cape. It allowed his groin time to heal from what had been contact with poison ivy. Because it is soft, this may not work as well for a dog that is determined to get to the area that is irritating them.

Our favorite cone
Works for my 28 pound cocker spaniel. These collars are nice because they are very flexible. They can be flipped down also for eating or just to allow the dog more visibility. They'll easily give when the dog walks too closely to walls. I don't worry about him getting stuck somewhere with this cone. Our collar came with white cords which is better than the bright pink for our male pup.

Flimsy and cardboard like
I bought this for my pup who is having CCL surgery. It’s flimsy and cardboard like so I knew it wouldn’t work. So I had to buy a different one.

Did the Job
After returning a couple different brands, finally found the one that worked for my dog. We needed to stop her from licking her abdomen where she had a skin infection. This one did the job for us and her skin was able to clear up nicely. I highly recommend it.

Works well
Have had these for my other dogs but had to get a smaller size for the current pooch. She can get to her back paws if she tries really hard, but it so much better than the hard plastic collars. My legs and furniture survive. Got this size for a 35lb Pit bull mix.
